  Newly renovated staff was very courteous but I feel like I have to shout out on specific employ,,. Tiffany is the best housekeeper ever I stay at many hotels and she by far is the most personable she made sure my room was clean, and well stocked during my stay. Plus she is so friendly! You guys have a 5 star review from me because of her! I will definitely be staying here again and will specifically request one of her rooms!   Dirty sheets, smelly lobby, Nice pool

  It doesn’t look so bad from outside. Then you walk in the lobby and are hit with an overpowering air freshener smell- what are they trying to cover up? The front desk guy was friendly and nice. Got to the rooms (poolside was nice) and the sheets had hair and dirt all over them, floors were far from clean, bathroom and tub needs a good scrub with some bleach. Some towels were crisp and white, some were incredibly dingy. They were haphazardly hung on the bar- you can just tell the housekeeping staff doesn’t care. Air conditioner was nice and cold but very noisy every time it turned on. Pretty sure there was blood on the sitting chair in the room. Noisy neighbors. Sketchy people in parking lot. Pool area was nice but water was chilly. Nice to have checkout at 11. Overall I would definitely spend a little more and stay elsewhere next time.   No Thank you- no non smoking rooms. Good onsite bar restaurant. Pretty view of river from pool area.

  Location for planned activities (manatee fun) is very good! Dirty. Smelly. Asked for non smoking room (allergic) and we opened the door to a cigarette smoke smell so strong we left door open. Dark grey laminate floor. Sadly so dirty- never mopped - white socks got black in an hour. Three pillows for queen bed. And flat- darn. Did not ask to switch rooms because spouse said we won’t be in it long, just to shower change and sleep, and hoped the door open would empty the smoke smell. It did not. Woke with swollen red eyes and tight throat- had to go get allergy meds. At check out politely showed desk attendant the socks and shared the smoke smell. Given excuses. “Those outside rooms are non smoking. People walk by smoking and the ac unit sucks it in and nothing we can do about that. And you are down around corner from bar and people will smoke” “floors are rough” Hmm. Then make the non smoking rooms elsewhere. And rough floors? No do the job. Mop. When checking out three of the four women were smoking as they had their chat before starting the day changing out rooms for next guests. Bingo. There is the smoke. Anyway- they allow animals and I LOVE THAT! We would come with our pup next time but we really don’t want to experience the same so we won’t book with them again. Bummer.   VERY misleading representation of the property

  We had a reservation for 2 nights but did not stay either of them. The first thing that stuck out were that the entry doors for the rooms are on the exterior of the building which is more characteristic of a motel, which we were not looking to stay in. Yes, there is a difference. It gave off a by-the-hour vibe. There were multiple areas where the stucco of the siding were broken off in larger sections and the gutters were almost rusted-through, indicative of poor maintenance. Then there was the smell that hits you when you enter the "lobby", which is more of a glorified vestibule. It is only about 10x20 and has just a few chairs with the reception desk, no pretty end table with flowers or a vending machine. There were hand-written signs on the utility rooms, not ones printed on letterhead. In the room, the entire exterior wall is a window with the light switch being mounted on the metal doorframe without a face plate. The laminate flooring made noises when walked on like it is loose. We were there for about 10 minutes and decided to leave. If you are looking for a deal only, then this is an option for you. If you want to feel secure and clean and in a well cared-for facility, this is not the location for you. I am very disappointed by the misrepresentation in the photos and will be seriously considering using this chain again in the future.   Local place was quiet with good location

  3.5 stars. I'm not sure why the description on line says $100, I think my room in February (two queens) was $79 or $80. Anyway, check out the prices. "Gator cove" lounge! Too funny... I had a room facing the inner courtyard and I have to thank the hostess at the front desk for letting me into the room early. I arrived at about 12, which was way before check in time. The room was recently renovated, clean, and quiet. I had lunch and breakfast the next day with a friend. Very restful stay at this rodeway inn. Give it a try. Enjoy.
