    Wonderful customer service and convenience to flights, food, and car rentals

    We stay at this wonderful hotel in the Tampa Bay area very often! Since we have Lifetime Platinum Elite status for Bonvoy, we are treated very well. All of the employees are kind, outstanding individuals who really enjoy creating a pleasant atmosphere for each guest. On our most recent visit, several gave especially excellent customer service. Before the trip, Machele at the front desk phone was professional and hospitable as she made sure our room would be up to expectations. During the trip, Jerry at the front desk personably made sure we were having a great time in the area and kindly gave us water. Alan provided attentive service in the Skyye Bar to create an enjoyable dining experience. Yalexa started our day off great at breakfast with her welcoming smile and personable, attentive service in the Café (since the concierge lounge was closed for the weekend). Al, who helped with luggage, and Sonny, who kept the facilities looking and functioning great, were always very kind in the lobby and halls. The recent remodeling has made the rooms very lovely and comfortable! The wonderful employees and convenience of being part of the airport with easy access to flights, shops, restaurants, and car rentals keep us coming back to this hotel on our many trips to the Tampa Bay area!

    Fixing a potential problem

    I went on a golf trip with 8 guys. I reserved a mini van - Chrysler Pacifica. I'm a member of Budget Fast Break and received a text that gave the location of my car. When I arrived and went to the directed space, the vehicle in the spot was an SUV. That car was not big enough for 4 guys, 4 sets of clubs, and 4 sets of luggage. I went back to the rental car kiosk and told the representative our dilemma. Her name is Generosa. Generosa took my information and immediately directed me to a spot with the appropriate car. With Generosa's help, we were on our way with the appropriate vehicle. Thanks, Generosa!!!     This hotel shows how to spend a lot of money on a remodel to make the rooms more crappy.

    They’ve spent a lot of money, trying to make their rooms worse. All of the rooms have been remodeled. The goal of this remodel was to make the rooms worse for the guests. Fewer places to plug things in. The showers used to be tubs so they are extra narrow and they didn’t think they were narrow enough so they put the soap dispensers in a spot to make them even more narrow instead of on the back wall where they belong. They are forever, gluing them back to where they get knocked off by people’s elbows. I can’t understand why they wanted to spend so much money just to make the rooms worse. This is the most convenient hotel for the Tampa airport, because it is in the airport. This is the only reason anybody would want to come to this hotel. I will continue to go to this hotel and complain every single time. My elbow is always in pain, when boarding a flight. In general Marriott properties are terrible. They don’t fix anything. They wait for the remodel. A Marriott property in Massachusetts 8 out of 10 of the rooms have nonfunctioning light fixtures. Based upon what the head of maintenance told me at that property. Instead of repairing these, they just leave them broken. So, this is the only Marriott property I will go to in the country, simply because it is convenient.     The room bathroom was pretty small with a stain on the wall by the trash but we had a pretty good view of the runway and WASN’T that noicy the staff were really nice and kind and over all was a pretty good experience.

    Great hotel, not great location for noise

    Great hotel location, friendly staff, and food and amenities all great. Unfortunately we couldn’t sleep all night because of loud music coming from outside the building. Completely defeated the purpose of trying to get a good nights sleep before a flight. Staff tried to accommodate but rooming rooms at midnight with kids and luggage is not ideal. If they can’t control music and noise right outside their building then guests won’t be happy.
