    The staff was awesome. The bed was comfortable. Decent breakfast. Double check price before you book.     It was down to this hotel or the HIE in Raton; this one was $20 more, but El Raton was only offering "to-go breakfasts", whatever that means. And this hotel looks nice from the highway. Speaking of breakfast, we were most pleased to find bacon at the buffet, and that's an almost-automatic 5 stars from me! Our room was nice, but the A/C had two sets of controls and neither one seemed to actually control the fan; I could not get it to stop cycling and just run at a steady low speed. But overall, mostly good, and I do think we'll stay here in the future.     Horrible customer service - BEWARE!

    Awful experience. Male front desk agent with glasses was horribly rude and apparently allowed to treat guests this way. The worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. Do not waste your time and money here when there are other hotels in the area if you are passing through.     Good instance of a reliable hotel chain. Main real competitor is the LQ across the freeway, which we stayed at many times due to the availability of suites. We finally gave this hotel a try, not needing the suite this year. This seems to be a relatively new property with good standard amenities and a nicely sized room. Exercise room was small but adequate with a treadmill, bike and an elliptical, open 24h. The breakfast was the standard HIE breakfast with a pancake machine, cinnamon rolls and the usual hot items. Pool looked nice, but we didn't try it. Room was clean. Shower worked well. Bed was comfortable. Can't ask for much more

    I forgot I had a bad experience last visit (the front desk gentleman insisted I had to pay for the whole room upon check-in) so I mistaking lot booked again After waiting 1/2 hour to check in (I was second in line) and NOT being able to use my points, I proceed to my room which wasn't ready yet (well after 3:00 checkin time) so I had to proceed to wait in line again to get a new room (Keep in mind they ENSURE I'm out by noon) Upon entering the room, the bathroom had not been cleaned (hair all over the floor and counter) sticky residue on nightstand and tv stand, unidentified stains on the chair etc (pics attached) Needless to say I was concerned the room wasn't cleaned so I slept in my own blanket and didn't shower questioning what actually had been cleaned As usual IHG customer service, I wasn't offered any compensation let alone an apology! So what I've learned is you better mind there rules but don't expect them to maintain their word as you'll be disappointed
