We stayed here for a week for a family ski vacation. I was nervous before check-in because we got such a great deal (RCI Extra Vacation for not even 1/3 the cost I thought it should have been.) We pulled up to valet and checked in so smoothly I still was waiting for something to be seriously wrong. Kids had yummy free hot chocolate in lobby and were thrilled. We got to our room quickly and we were impressed by how spacious, clean, stocked and nice the unit was. We had a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms. King in master and 2 queens in 2nd bedroom and plenty of closet and dresser space. We did use the pull put couch in living room as well. Nice master shower! I was happy to see hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion were provided in both bathrooms. For coffee lovers, they have K cup and pot available. We ate a lot in the room and had everything needed. The hot tub is HUGE and every time we went it was empty. They have ski and boot storage downstairs which was very nice. Pool table and fooseball table on 1st floor. Gym as well but we didn't go in. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, from desk personnel, valet to ski room! The free busses just outside were great for getting around. We took the express shuttle to and from Vail twice. Beaver Creek is walking distance, less than 5 min to gondola from lobby. My kids as young as 10 did it fine carrying all their ski gear. We even came home for lunch twice to save $ and relax. Several good restaurants walking distance from resort. We had a great vacation and no complaints! There are fees for parking daily, but it was worth it and every time we called for car it was ready in 3 min. We would love to return some time and recommend!

Avon is a great small Colorado town close to Vail & Beaver Creek Ski areas. The accommodations are roomy with all amenities. Delicious coffee & hot cocoa in lobby. Great hot tub!

We had a great visit! The rooms are well equipped and beautifully decorated with amazing views. Staff is very friendly and efficient. It’s centrally located so it was very easy to get around.

I have been cancelled by this resort two years in a row. Both times I booked it through my credit card CapitalOne. Last year they cancelled my reservation because they overbooked it. I had called weeks before my arrival date and they had my reservation and everything was good. When I showed up, they no longer had it. I thought it was a glitch, so I tried again this year. I called the day before to make sure that they had not cancelled my reservation again and the lady on the phone argued with me on the phone that they don't do that. I told her to finally look up my previous reservation from last year and she said, "Oh, we were overbooked." I show up the next day to checkin after travelling and they say, "You're reservation has been cancelled." They cancelled me again. Stay away from this place at all costs!! This place is a disaster! Luckily I had booked with CapitalOne and they upgraded me to a much nicer resort near by for no additional cost.

Beautiful views, poor maintenance

We spoke to the staff several times about the air conditioner in the primary bedroom not working (room 505). It would stop working after about an hour of use. They taught us how to flip a switch in the utility closet, wait three minutes, flip the switch again and then turn on the air conditioner. Needless to say, this made for pretty awful nights’ rest with having to fully wake up and reset the air conditioner throughout the night. We were there for a full week. They told us it was already on the list to be fixed on the day we check out. AJ the concierge tried to do what he could to make it right and wanted to refund the $45 per night valet fee. However, a female at the front desk stopped him from giving the refund and only allowed a total of $50 of credit to be put on our account. We left exhausted, frustrated, and with a bad taste in our mouth. This ended up being an expensive non-restful getaway for us.
