Had an amazing time despite the fact that most of the mountain was closed. We ended up getting some snow at least! Unfortunately the chair lift was not operating so we did have to take the shuttle but it wasn’t too bad. If it was that would have been very convenient. The ski shop was very convenient for storing gear overnight. The pool, hot tub, saunas and warm igloos were so great after our ski days as were the cookies, cocoa and s’mores everyday. We didn’t get to check out the movie area but that’s a bonus for families who don’t ski a whole day and want some down time. Guess we was great for breakfast on slower days and are ate at the cafe for days we wanted a quicker meal. Makato was just ok for us. Altitude sickness was a thing for my daughter and I so just be prepared it may take a day or two to acclimate. Lots of advil! Overall would stay again.

Excellent Vail Ski Accommodations!
23 Mar 2026
We decided to stay at the Hyatt Grand Vail for our spring ski vacation. The friendliness and professionalism of Polina and Victoria at the front desk made this stay quite memorable. I'd like to give an extra shout out to valet staff members Brodie, Evan, Shawn, and Ben. They were very accommodating and efficient at managing our vehicle. The hotel was very convenient to get on the slopes and the evening live music and activities made this hotel an inviting place to stay. I would highly recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The spa at the Grand Hyatt is nothing short of exceptional, and the reason is simple — its people. Miki, the Spa Manager, sets a tone of genuine care and quiet professionalism that you feel the moment you walk in. There's an attentiveness to detail that doesn't feel rehearsed; it feels like someone who truly loves what they do. Ridvan, the Assistant Manager, carries that same energy — warm, anticipatory, and effortlessly gracious. Together, they've built something that goes beyond a menu of services. It's an experience that makes you feel like the only guest in the building. If you're looking for a spa that remembers why hospitality matters, look no further. Miki and Ridvan are the gold standard. Also, get the Maguro Nigiri at Makoto, the best sushi restaurant in Vail. Make reservations as soon as you book your room. And don't forget to come to the John Summit experts only concert, pretty epic.
