Week at the shore!
22 Feb 2026
We went to the beach to whale watch, do the zoo and aquarium, and watch the jets. The weather didn’t work for us to whale watch, but thr zoo and aquarium were great.Went to Oceana NAS to watch the jets land and take off. Went found out that we could see them from our balcony. Jonathan Lopez, Owner at Boardwalk Resort and Villas, responded to this review We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your visit—even if the weather didn’t cooperate for whale watching this time. It’s great that the zoo and aquarium made up for it, and how amazing that you were able to catch the jets right from your balcony!Oceana NAS is definitely a unique experience, and we’re glad you got the best view without even having to leave your room.We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back for another great trip—hopefully with better weather for whale watching next time!

Average hotel with water pressure issues
29 Dec 2025
Average hotel that offers an economic "studio" room. The room is compact with a standard bed, kitchenette (with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, silverware and dishes), short kitchen island with 2 bar stools and a very deep bath tub in the bathroom. (People with mobility issues might struggle getting in and out of the tub, even with the handy grab bar.) Given the low water pressure, wait times for a bath would be lengthy. Long wait times for hot water were common at the bathroom sink. The room had a view of the parking lot. All room entrances are indoors. A fitness center with more equipment than many and an indoor pool round out the amenities. The on site restaurant was closed for the xmas holidays. Helpful phone charger on the night stand. Clean and tidy room and hotel public areas. The room lacks any kind of upholstored chair for reading or watchng TV. Room WiFi worked fine. Jonathan Lopez, Owner at Boardwalk Resort and Villas, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay with us. We’re glad to hear that you found your room clean and tidy, appreciated the in‑room amenities, and enjoyed the convenience of our fitness center, indoor pool, and reliable WiFi.We’re sorry to learn that aspects of the studio layout and bathroom design did not fully meet your expectations. Your comments about the deep bathtub, water pressure, and wait times for hot water are very helpful—we will be sharing them with our maintenance team so they can investigate and address these concerns. We also appreciate your feedback regarding additional seating in the room, as this helps us better understand what guests value during longer stays. We apologize as well for the restaurant closure during the holiday period. We know this can be inconvenient and are reviewing how best to communicate seasonal hours ahead of time.Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more seamless experience in the future.

Shame but not worth a visit
14 May 2025
The staff were so friendly, which is the only saving grace, but the stay overall was pretty terrible. Based on the fact it’s a hotel and the main reason is to sleep, we got zero sleep due to the noise. We were put in the top corner of the hotel, which was clearly in the staff area and the whole night doors were slamming and people were talking directly outside our room. From 10pm through til 4am.The room itself was ok, a bit tired and worn out, with some big bugs in the bathroom, but manageable, apart from the noise. Bed wasn’t that comfortable and the tv was at a weird angle so one side of the bed couldn’t see it.Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here- but as I said, the staff were super friendly. Jonathan Lopez, Owner at Boardwalk Resort and Villas, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. While we’re pleased to hear that our staff made a positive impression, we’re truly sorry to learn that the rest of your stay fell short of expectations. We sincerely apologize for the noise disturbances you experienced throughout the night. This is not the experience we want for our guests, and your comments will be reviewed with our leadership and overnight teams to ensure we address this concern. We also appreciate your notes about the room’s condition, comfort, and layout, as well as the maintenance issues you encountered. Your feedback is extremely valuable and has already been shared with our housekeeping and engineering departments for follow‑up.We never want a guest to leave feeling disappointed, and we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can learn more and make this right. If you’re open to it, please feel free to contact our management team at your convenience.Thank you again for your comments and for recognizing the friendliness of our staff. We hope to have another chance to provide you with the comfortable and enjoyable experience you deserve.

Amazing and Convenient
07 Apr 2025
Our stay exceeded our expectation. Staff went above and beyond and made us feel welcomed and important throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, with more amazing views. The restaurant downstairs and easy access to other shops and restaurants couldn’t be beat. We hope to stay here again.
