    I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Dulles Airport Herndon and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and my room was spacious, quiet, and exactly what I needed after a long day of travel.What truly made the stay exceptional was the staff. Sabrina at the front desk was welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She made check-in seamless and ensured I had everything I needed.The Bistro was another highlight. Joanna and Cesia provided outstanding service at the bar. They were friendly, attentive, and created a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind in the evenings. Their positive attitudes and genuine hospitality stood out and made a great stay even better.It's clear that customer service is a priority at this hotel, and the team should be recognized for the excellent job they do. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Herndon/Dulles area.

    I booked and prepaid for my room using airline miles; however, I was charged the full cost again at checkout. I attempted to resolve the issue by calling the front desk, but the representative I spoke with was unable to locate my reservation or fully understand me (language barrier). I also reached out via email to the Assistant General Manager, Tom Seok, whose contact information was provided in responses to other guest reviews on the hotel’s website. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response to either of my messages. As a result, I was left with no choice but to initiate a dispute with my credit card company. Additionally, while checking out, I overheard another guest mention that he had prepaid through Expedia and was also charged again by the hotel, suggesting this may be a recurring issue. Due to the time and frustration required to address this matter, I will not be staying at this property again.     Worst DC airport stay in over 10 years

    Check in was cold and unwelcoming. It turns out, they were supposed to warn me that the early morning shuttle to the airport wasn't working and I would have to use Lyft. They did cover the Lyft charges which was appreciated. The room was at an end of a hall and had no internet service. Quite unexpected in 2026. I went to the lounge for a bite to eat and 3 seats at the bar were occupied by very drunk and profane men. I didn't understand why the staff didn't cut them off or ask them to tone it down. According to their boasts, they were on their second bottle of wine and some were have mixed drinks as well. Every fifth word was a full volume "F Bomb". I felt very sorry for the single women who came to the bar, ½ of whom left after a few minutes of this brutal behavior. Not a place I would stay at again.     Surprised by number of issues

    Typically experiences at Courtyards are predictable. Regrettably, this one was not. The showerhead leaked. To their credit, they did fix it when told. How they could not have known before check-in is puzzling given the volume. The in-room coffee had four packets of decaf and no regular. The front desk claimed they were out and would put some by the front door before sunrise. That didn’t happen. Another surprise: $10 nightly parking for a suburban location. Perplexing.     Poor customer service. Showed up for room and they charged us again for the room even though we had prepaid. When we brought it to their attention they said they would take care of it. They didn’t. We had to go through our credit card company to stop payment. The credit company is now investigating the charge against the hotel. Total pain. We pre-paid for breakfast. But they failed to give us a voucher for breakfast. When we went to get our breakfast, we were told we would have to pay. We bought 2-crappy cups of Starbucks coffee(sorry Starbucks lovers-I’m not a fan) for $12. We then went up to the desk and showed them our prepaid credit for breakfast. The guy at the desk apologized and then gave us our vouchers. He would not refund us for the $12 for the coffee. We got crappy Starbucks food with our vouchers. The phones at the desk were ringing constantly. Every time the receptionist picked up the phone she would say, “hello, hello.” And then hang up. EVERY SINGLE TIME. We were told that there was a hotel shuttle from the airport. There wasn’t. They called an Uber for us. Employees don’t care about their jobs. It’s obvious. They are putting in the time and punching the time clock. I wish we hadsaved the money and gone to a Motel 6. It would have been a better experience.
