    Absolutely not

    rating25 Mar 2026

If I could leave less than 1 star for this hotel, I would. Let’s start from the beginning. We booked what looked like an older quaint hotel so honestly knew it wasn’t going to be perfect but definitely had expectations that were not met or even close to being met. Our first room was on the third floor, when we got onto the small dilapidated elevator we immediately noticed the concrete flooring that was showing through the laminate flooring and the layers of paint and colors on the doors. Cool, it’s just an elevator and how much were we really going to be in it anyways? We exit the elevator to carpet that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned a day since it was very poorly put in, rolls and waves and so uneven you could trip just thinking about it. Enter into our room and it’s clean. 2 queen beds. Great, we can do this. Just be careful in the hallways and take the stairs. Well as we are unpacking…… there in no refrigerator in the room anywhere. Plenty of room for one but absolutely no refrigerator anywhere to be seen. Start looking around more and we notice we don’t even have a phone to call down to the front desk. Two things that should be in every hotel room now a days. See the refrigerator is a big deal for my family. My son is a T1 diabetic and we have to keep his insulin cold or it goes bad. Obviously if we would have know about that 1 key feature not being in the room we wouldnt have booked this hotel. Walk down the stairs to the front desk and immediately notice the stairs match the carpet and elevator and are beyond filthy with layers of grime in them. I speak to the front desk about the phone and refrigerator issues and their only solution is move us down stairs so they can store his insulin in their staff refrigerator. They had no mini refrigerator they could put in the room and honestly seemed like it just wasn’t that big of a deal to them. I get it, it’s not their kid or their life and I’m sure they don’t fully understand what T1 is. They move us into a 2 full bed room on the 1st floor. So now we aren’t even getting what we paid for for our reservation but the front desk could give two sh***. It’s worth mentioning for this next part that the hotel has “Quiet hours” from 10:00pm- like 7am or something. Our last night at about 11:30PM me, my mom, AND my son were all woken up by a child running up and down the hallway over and over and over and over. It went on for about 10 minutes before I opened my door and asked his father to please have him stop, it was late and he was being loud by running up and down the hallway on laminate flooring (1st floor is the only floor that had this type of flooring installed).his father looked at me and told me I looked strung out and carried his child away. Probably about 1:30AM we were woken up AGAIN by another guest hollering HELLO down the hallway about 5 or 6 times. When my mom opened our door to look out of our room and see what was going on the front desk agent at that time looked at her said What?!? Her response was simple”I’m just trying to figure out why I keep getting woken up tonight”. He said nothing and went on about whatever he was doing. Over all I would t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. I’m highly unsatisfied and will never be here again. This same review will be posted wherever I can post it because I feel as though everyone needs to know what they are getting into if they book here.

Safety hazards and unfair financial liability imposed on guests

    rating14 Mar 2026

Safety hazards and unfair financial liability imposed on guestsI would not recommend staying at this hotel due to serious safety and maintenance concerns. The property is quite old, which in itself is not an issue as long as it is properly maintained. However, several installations appear to be inadequately maintained. During my stay, I returned to the hotel late in the evening and was not informed of any specific entry procedures (such as ringing a bell). When I gently pulled the entrance door, it unexpectedly opened despite being supposedly locked, and a metal lock component detached from above and fell, almost hitting my head. This raises significant concerns about the safety standards of the facility. A properly functioning lock should prevent a door from opening. Additionally, fixtures should never be at risk of detaching in a way that could potentially cause injury to guests.I also took photographs of the lock mechanism, which appeared to be wrapped with plastic tape. While I cannot confirm whether this was part of a proper installation or a temporary repair, it suggests that there may have been a pre-existing issue with the lock. What was particularly troubling was the response from the front desk staff, who implied that I might be held financially responsible for the damage. Guests should not feel intimidated or pressured to compensate for problems that appear to stem from poor maintenance or aging infrastructure.Due to safety risks, outdated facilities, and the possibility of being unfairly charged for maintenance-related issues — even when these may result from the property’s failure to properly maintain or invest in its infrastructure — combined with the serious risk of injury from a metal component falling from above, I cannot recommend staying at this property.

    OK for the money

    rating17 Nov 2025

We wanted budget hotel and this one is one. We really needed just clean and comfy bed and bathroom and space for our luggage/clothing. We booked it via Booking.com but for just a couple weeks before we started our longer trip to Canada/US I got a message from Booking.com that it was cancelled without any explanation. We quickly called the hotel and the lady at the phone told us Booking cancelled it in February! and I never got any message from them. She also said the reason apparently was that I paid for the room while it was booked on my husband's name. We managed to pay it directly with the hotel but can you imagine the stress we experienced. Well we got the room on the ground floor (L shaped) with window just above restaurant of the hotel next door on the left which was sometimes laud but only up to midnight. The bed was OK, we needed to move it from the wall that we would have access from both sides. There was TV (we never watched), desk with one chair only, one luggage holder and cupboard with hangers. The bathroom was small but functionable. It would really help to have another chair there. In the lobby was communal space with water, coffee machine and information leaflets. The staff was nice and helpful. Advantage of this hotel was that we could easily walk anywhere, it was about 20-30 mins slow walk to White House.

    Good hotel - great location

    rating03 Jun 2025

The hotel location is very close to everything. The hotel is kinda old, partially renovated. Some rooms are renovated. The hotel receptionist “Sam” was very nice with her service, gave me a nice room. The door of the room can be readjusted for noise cancellation. This is a small hotel so my neighbor very close to me was slamming the door since 6 o’clock in the morning which was annoying. I could not sleep in sometimes. I stayed from Monday to Friday and it was the first time for me visiting Washington DC, the White House and the beautiful city so I was hoping I could get sometimes an extra hour of sleep, but my neighbors were Disrespectful, I reported them to the guy at the reception. I wish there was a small fridge in the room, especially for people who are staying there for more than 24 hours. Maybe it’s something you can add in few rooms and maybe charge a little extra $ - The main door closes at 10 pm so that make it inconvenient if you wanna bring over friends without telling the reception about them or going all the way down to open for them. During my stay I had no room service, I didn’t need to, but it seems they are doing a great job.Wi-Fi internet was awful by the way even though they have two different ones, they keep lagging and disconnecting.A big Thanks for Sam. ✅

Leider nein, einmal und nie wieder

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel manager is extremely unfriendly and seems overwhelmed. There is no possibility to deposit the luggage securely in the hotel and it is already pointed out at the request that it may be that when you put on the luggage, which is only possible in the corridor, no more luggage can be found. In general, the entire hotel is extremely noisy. In my case, my neighbors decided to walk at 1:54 am for 20 minutes, which led me to think that there was a major technical problem and it sounded like a train was running next to my head. Thereupon I went to the reception, where the employee accompanied me several times and asked me to be in the neighboring room, which was still not the case until 3.30 a.m., as something kept falling down or being moved. The entrance is not barrier-free which is extremely difficult to manage with two heavy suitcases. The elevator is very horrible and could use an overhaul. The drain in the bathtub was completely clogged, which meant that the water could not drain, this was then fixed at my request.Since I wanted a partial refund due to the circumstances, I was harshly reprimanded for having booked via booking.com, so this would not be possible. However, I never received an answer to my booking request in December 2024, so I had to book via booking.com.Even if it is one of the cheaper hotels, it is definitely not worth the money and the manager is unfortunately not to be surpassed in unfriendliness.
