  Comfortable stay

  We had a comfortable stay at this location. We travel frequently and almost always stay at Fairfield by Marriott properties, and this hotel met our expectations overall.We stayed on the third floor for four nights. The room was quiet, and the beds were very comfortable, making for a restful stay. We also really appreciated the complimentary shuttle service and the friendly drivers. It made it easy to take the Metro from the airport into Washington, DC, on multiple days, so we didn't have to deal with driving or parking.There were a couple of minor downsides. We ran out of both the bar soap and the bathroom soap fairly quickly, and the person who checked us in wasn't particularly friendly (we know customer service can be a tough gig). That said, every other staff member we interacted with was kind and helpful.Overall, this is a solid option if you need a hotel near the airport with convenient access to Washington, DC.   Loved the Hotel, Front Desk Could Be More Welcoming

  We checked in on April 11, 2026 around 4pm and stayed in room 309. The hotel was very easy to find and the area felt safe, with several restaurants nearby. There is a Cracker Barrel right behind the hotel and even a Hertz rental desk inside, which would be very convenient for anyone needing a rental. The property itself was very clean and parking was decent. It is also very close to the airport, which is a plus for travelers.Our room was extremely clean and the bathroom was spotless. The bed was SO comfortable and the AC worked great. We also liked the check-in and keyless entry option on the phone. Breakfast the next morning was good and had a nice variety.The only downside was the front desk experience. The associate working at check-in was not very welcoming and came across as dismissive when I mentioned I had checked in on the app but had never used the mobile key before. Later, when we asked for restaurant recommendations in the Leesburg area, he did not seem very helpful. Even just saying he was not familiar with the area would have been appreciated, but the interaction made me feel like I was bothering him.Overall, I would stay here again because the hotel itself was great.   We stayed here the night before our morning flight out of IAD and left the car in the parking lot with a parking tag indicating our return date. Breakfast was very tasty with protein and bread options (waffles too if you are one who loves this). We took the shuttle to and from the airport - so easy! The staff are super helpful and very nice. The room was comfortable and we had no issues leaving the car at the hotel while we traveled. Thank you Fairfield in Sterling! We will do this again.   Great Value at Marriott Fairfield Inn at Dulles.

  Great hotel with attentive and welcoming staff. Big shout out to Wally and Carmen who really made my stay super nice. Free shuttle and hot breakfast that is actually tasty. Fitness room is well equipped with new Lifestyle machines and a Pelaton bike. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
