Rude front desk
05 May 2026
The front desk is rude, they should really check their attitude if they work in a hospitality job. Especially those answering the phones. , Owner at Hampton Inn Washington-Dulles Int'l Airport South, responded to this review Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that you had an issue. Our team takes great pride in offering friendly, professional service to each and every guest. We apologize for any lapse in presentation.

Beware: Hotel renovations & drilling - Unbearable noise (December 2025)
28 Dec 2025
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in 2023 and had a very pleasant experience, which is why we chose to rebook it again this year. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different and deeply disappointing. We booked a four-night stay over the Christmas holiday, unaware that the hotel was undergoing major renovations. This information should have been clearly disclosed at the time of booking, especially during a holiday stay when guests expect a quiet and restful experience. We woke up to extremely loud drilling early in the morning, after already getting very little sleep due to a refrigerator that made constant loud noises throughout the night. We switched rooms that morning, and while things initially seemed better, we were woken again at 4:00 am. when the heating unit suddenly became extremely loud and disruptive. In addition, construction workers were using trucks on our side of the building to load and unload materials, adding to the constant noise. After two consecutive nights of very little sleep, we made the decision to find another hotel for the remainder of our trip.We were also surprised by a note on the thermostat stating that it could take up to 30 minutes to reach the desired temperature due to an energy-saving mode—something we’ve never encountered in a hotel before.Until renovations are completed and fully disclosed, this is a buyer-beware situation—particularly for guests expecting peace, quiet, and a good night’s sleep. , Owner at Hampton Inn Washington-Dulles Int'l Airport South, responded to this review Thank you for coming to see us. We're sorry to hear that your stay wasn't all it could have been. As you note, we are in the process of renovating our hotel. However, there should be minimal guest impact as drilling is confined to hanging headboards and televisions. We hope that you will come back to see us and enjoy our renovated rooms, which have now begun returning to inventory.
