    Expectations Reasonably Met

    Spent a few days at the HGI across from DCA for some business meetings at both Dulles and Ronald Reagan. Come to expect HGI to be a step above Hampton and for the most part expectations met. Check in was easy, toom was comfortable, restaurant was solud, new menu was good. I was dissapointed in the fitness room though. All three treadmills were not working properly. No water in room and 79 degree temperature that couldn't be adjusted. I did let front desk know as well. I dont mind some inconvenience for some lower rates thsn the Hilton across, but it was a bit of a bummer. I'm around frequently enough and will probably stay again but check on working status first.

    I had a problem with my credit card which got declined and I could not ascertain why it was getting declined.However the reception person was very rude and not helpful and was not willing to accept cash.However the manager was kind enough to poreciate the problem and accepted cash.However those two hours were really stressfulFor those travelling from India doublecheck your limit for tapping since my card restricted to 50k inr and if u think customer care will help well you might be in for big surprise

    That one middle-aged front desk guy is absolutely disrespectful and condescending (refused to give me water when I explicitly said we don't have bottled water in our room, so I had to walk to CVS to get some). Empty tissue box in the bathroom when we arrived. No hot water. Do not recommend!!

    Room 220.It's a pity i cant spread this to hotels.com and bookings.com becauee they have a distorted sense of reality.Imagine only have a hot shower only on the evening and two nights out of 5. And then the second was a fluke when you had to turn the hot water on in the basin to make the shower work.It wrecked the whole thing. I spoke to the front desk about 7-8 times. They dont care. And this is the new baseline (for me) of the worst hotel.on the world. I will take the doubletree in vancouver with its call girls and damaged sofa over this.The fact that they couldnt offer a new room, something comped, i wasnt even after money... terrible.Avoid 220. If you are lucky enough to read this before booking, i have saved a life.

    Do not book here! For starters it’s a two star hotel and not three. It is not located a mile fromThe airport, it’s closer to 2.5 miles! The van took 40 minutes to arrive after calling. The rooms are dark, dirty and cramped. There was a dirty band aid on the floor and hair in the tub. The AC and the shower do not function properly!! Lastly if you wish to have the shuttle drive you to the airport you have to go to the lobby 20 minutes prior to wanting to leave. You cannot callDown and request or set up on Check in. I have stayed at many Hilton Garden Inns, this one is abhorrent! A Motel 6 is more like it!
