    The Holiday Inn Washington Central is conveniently located, clean, with well appointed rooms. The room was quiet (on the 5th fl), the fitness room is small but has some cardio machines and dumbbells, fine if only 1-2 people are in the room at a time. Front desk staff were helpful and professional. One recommendation would be to offer recycling. I didn't see any recycling bins anywhere in the building and none in the rooms. I don't know what IHG's sustainability plan is, but this is an area for improvement.     The service was excellent throughout our stay. The rooms are attractive and updated, though there are a few minor signs of wear and age. Nothing significant enough to affect our comfort or deter us from staying here again.While the hotel does not have its own bar, there is a Johnny Rockets conveniently attached to the property. Guests can also purchase drinks, snacks, and other essentials from the self-serve market located off the lobby.Unfortunately, the pool had not yet opened for the season, and there was no access to the rooftop during our stay, which was a bit disappointing.The location is outstanding. Numerous restaurants are just a short walk away, and many of Washington, D.C.'s major attractions and landmarks are within walking distance as well.
