    We went as a large group and the hotel could not be more accommodating! The rooms were clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and we had a fantastic stay!

    My room (9th floor) was clean, though somewhat dark even with all available lights on. The ceiling fan is nice for keeping the room cool, though the windows don’t open at all and the A/C is loud when it’s running. The bathroom is adequate, and the big TV is well-placed for viewing from the bed and couch. Big fridge and minimal cooking area, sufficient for reheating food. The rooftop deck is pleasant, with a view of the Capitol, but the room views themselves are of other buildings.The problem is the service: there simply wasn’t any. Rooms are supposed to be serviced every other day; mine wasn’t serviced once for a 3 night stay. The ice machine on my floor didn’t work; neither did the water fountains on the rooftop. Making matters worse, there are “please tip” signs at check in, in the elevator, and in the room. Good at placing signs *asking* for tips, but not so good at actually *providing* the service that would merit such tips. For a room at this price point, I found the lack of service … disturbing.     Homewood Suites | Navy Yard is a great hotel! From the suites to the conference space, I and all other conference attendees enjoyed our stay immensely. Thanks to all staff (from front desk & AV to food/beverage and housekeeping) for making everything Goldilocks "just right".     Our stay here was amazing! The view of some of the monuments from the penthouse terrace floor was beautiful. The staff were quick to accommodate the requests we made. I sooo loved Ms. Debbie at the front desk! She was so professional, informative, friendly, and chique! Checking in and out was easy. We will definitely be visiting again.

    I had the pleasure of working with Stashia Fore to book rooms and meeting space for our government leadership program kick-off week. The location was perfect, as the Metro is right across the street and we could walk to the Navy Yard and all the food options in the area (not to mention the Nationals ball-park). The staff were absolutely excellent! Front desk, bell-hop, business sales associates, food and cleaning staff were all very professional and kind. They went out of their way to explain things, provide support, and make adjustments on the fly and all with kindness and patience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we appreciated the continental breakfast and Wednesday night gathering. Ultimately, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend staying here or holding an event here.
