Misinformation from front desk staff, no breakfast

    rating16 Feb 2026

I was told upon check in that breakfast was 6 to 9 Monday thru Friday. I checked in on a Sunday. My train leaves at 730. I went for breakfast and was told since it is a holiday weekend, it wouldn't open till 7. Two major problems, I chose this hotel for the free breakfast and planned accordingly. It shouldn't matter that it is a holiday, upon check in I was given misinformation and now do not get a service i paid for. Also not good public transport access. Very disappointing stay.

    Very bad stay.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my whole life. Everything from trying to find the parking garage to my actual room was awful. I accidentally drove into the parking garage not knowing valet was suppose to park, once I was inside I had to call the office twice to get out because someone locked us inside, for over ten minutes my family and I were locked inside the garage waiting for someone to open the garage door. Once the man in charge of valet opened the garage door, he didn’t instruct us on where to go, he just yelled at us telling us we need to leave. That’s it, no help what’s so ever. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Downtown Washington DC is a bit confusing to people who have never been we made a simple mistake. However, if you’re running a valet service it’s your responsibility to be on the premises at all times. So we circled back two time to figure out where to pull in. Finally after looking for what seemed forever, I went into the office and the desk manager guided us out. I was already reluctant because the man running valet was rude not to mention he was smoking a blunt in front of my family. I refused service from him after witnessing that, I ended up finding a separate parking lot. Once we finally got up to our room instantly had issues. The A/C filter had a code showing on the thermostat saying it needed to be replaced. The carpets were highly stained, the walls were filthy, the wallpaper in the room was quite literally peeling off in different spots. The headboard was peeling everywhere, the duvet was not assembled properly it was just thrown on top of the blanket. The duvet had multiple large holes in it as well. The only thing I was looking forward to was a hot shower. That did not happen. The water was warm for maybe 6 minuets before it got cold again. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my whole life. Truly disgusting behavior of the staff here and extremely unprofessional. The room should be investigated and repaired before allowing another family to stay there.

    Great find

    rating12 Dec 2025

LOCATION -this hotel is just a mile away from Union Square Station so we were able to walk with our luggage easily, also a mile from the White House and under a mile from museums and shops. There is a Safeway supermarket straight over the road and restaurants and takeaways too. Area felt safe and I would run early each morning.ATMOSPHERE - we had a very friendly chap check us in who was super friendly each morning when we saw him. All staff were friendly from check in to check out. The other guests were friendly too which created an overall friendly environment.BREAKFAST - there are not many tables available but we found that the quietest time is right at the beginning of breakfast time. There were different choices each day and you could ask if things had run out and they would replenish if they had the items. Some days it was crockery and others disposable plates.ROOM - was spacious and had everything we needed included a full size fridge/freezer. Adequate amount of crockery and utensils for self-catering. Microwave worked well. Tv had lots of channels to chose from too.BED - was comfortable and large and housekeeping daily if requiredBATHROOM - clean and good water pressure and temperature and towels were clean and soft. Our sliding shower door did have a mind of its own and kept opening but the water stayed in!!!NOISE - sometimes you heard neighbours and like most hotels people do not seem to know how to close doors quietly!!! HOT DRINKS - these were available behind the lobby all day including hot water.GYM - plenty of equipment available and plenty of space to complete an online workoutVALUE - great value stay especially with the breakfast Would recommend and stay again

    Not Restful

    rating05 Oct 2025

Completely shabby and run down. When we first got into our room we noticed that the shower door was broken and the A/C didn't work. It took a lot to convince the staff the A/C wasn't working even though they sent someone to the room and it was almost 80. They finally moved us late at night. We were woken up by what sounded like someone drilling into our ceiling, that went on from 1am to 5am. They moved us again. Still more issues with a lot of things broken in the room, but we were done being moved. I have stayed at a few Hiltons recently and the quality is going downhill fast, I won't be looking at a Hilton again.
