  Room is spotless. Clean towels every day and staff very helpful. We got complimentary goodies which was a appreciated touch. Would definitely recommend. Central location for all site seeing.

  Nice sized 1-bedroom suite with two queens and a pull-out sofa. Comfortable space for three adults and two kids. We were at the end of the hall in the corner and so we didn’t have a view except of the building across the street, however, this meant that it was very quiet. The room has a kitchenette, two chairs, a stool, and a small side table that can slide under the sofa or bed. Great for the kids who wanted to eat on the sofa bed. The bathroom was for the toilet and tub. The sink was outside the bathroom door in an alcove in the bedroom. This made it hard for one person to use the sink/get ready if other people are sleeping and wanted it dark. The WiFI was very good and I had no problem with making video calls and we basically had 3 or 4 devices streaming all of the time. The downsides were all related to the kitchen. First, they only had place settings for four even though the room can hold up to six (we probably could have asked for more). The pots and pans were sufficient for making pasta and simple dishes, but only the sauce pots had lids. Fortunately, we had tinfoil with us to use on the larger pans. There were no large bowls for making salad. There was only one sharp knife, paring size. It was sharp though so that was good, but the small size eventually caused my hands to cramp since I was doing a lot of cutting. My biggest complaint though was that the room has a kitchenette but there is no way to open any of the windows. We were cooking a lot of marinated chicken and hamburgers and that resulted in a lot of smoke in the room and the hallway (I’m sure all of our neighbors loved us). Breakfast had a taco bar and standard options like eggs, hashbrowns, sausage/turkey bacon, cereal, pastries/bagels, chia seed and overnight oatmeal cups made with oatmilk, whole fruit, and beverages. Go early if you want a lot of selection – some items stopped getting refilled about 30 minutes before breakfast ends. I thought it was rather bland but they had an excellent selection of hot sauces at the taco bar. The coffee in the lobby area (available all day) was much better than the coffee in the room. Location is good and an easy walk to the White House and the Convention Center. There were a lot of bars and clubs nearby on 13th maybe. About a five-minute walk to the metro. There are a few small supermarkets in the area and a large Whole Foods within 5-10 minutes walk as well. There is a 24-hour CVS next to the Whole Foods and a 24-hour Wawa about a block away. We didn’t really eat out, preferring to cook in the room since five people gets expensive fast when eating out and the kids are still young enough to be picky eaters. Wish there was a pool.

  Central Location and Good Value for DC Tourists

  We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel for 10 nights back in December. It was at a convenient locaiton -- walking distance to a small Whole Foods and restaurants. The metro (McPherson) would have been walkable but we took Uber daily due to the cold weather. The one-way rides to attractions were all within $15 or so. Their two-bed suites apparently face the other rooms' windows, hence we did not open the curtain for 10 days. Our suite at the end of the hall way was quiet. The furniture and appliances were dated, but usable. I was happy that their stainless pots were clean and somewhat new. The room and bathroom were clean.The laundry room had three working dryers and washers when we were there. Sometimes there was a little wait, but manageale, as the wash and dry times were rather short. Since the dry time was short, I had to do two dry cycles for each load.The breakfast was very good with an assortment of hot and cold items, but super crowded while we were there during the Christmas break. Everyday there was a line between 8:30am-9am. Everyday there were items ran out way before the closing time -- some were replenished, but sometimes, there simply ran out. The hotel graciously opened an overflow room, but some days both the breakfast area and overflow room were full. I observed that all breakfast staff worked really hard to meet the high demand. The breakfast staff were always so pleasant and friendly during those action-packed breakfast hours.As well, the housekeeping, maintenance, and the doorman/valet always carried a smile and greeted us daily. We wished the front desk staff were a bit more personable. I especially wanted to thank Cathy in the mailroom for finding a small item that I left behind and mailing it back to me.

  The floors are dirty. There are a swarm of bugs downstairs. The bathroom door is broken. Terrible smell when you walk in. The sheets have holes in them. It looks abandoned.
