    We had a great experience at the hotel. Sunny and Danielle were particularly helpful and kind. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great. Would stay here again.     Shortly after checking in our toilet clogged. We were told to come to reception to get a plunger and fix it ourselves. Upon discussion at check out we were compensated the $11 parking fee for our troubles, which seems a bit like an insult. Furthermore it was never even communicated there was a parking fee. We received a welcome confirmation email and it contained a lot of misinformation such as the airport shuttle was a Lyft which you needed to schedule and never mentioned the parking fee yet it had a whole paragraph on mask mandates. I recommend booking a room on the first floor as one elevator was broken and the other sounded like it would break any moment.Finally the breakfast was edible but not great. I will commend the shuttle driver as he did go the extra mile to accommodate us, albeit the van had a huge sign stating tips accepted. With so many hotels to choose from in this area I’d recommend looking at others.     Won’t be booking Hyatt ever again

    Booked and paid for a king suite and when we checked in there was no sofa. Just a large conference table and two desk chairs and another accent chair in the corner. Pool was not open for the season yet despite being May in Virginia and 70 degrees and sunny. Restaurant and bar were never open while weWere there and they also charge 11.00 per day for guests to park.     Very disappointing experience with this Hyatt property.

    I booked a reservation for March 6 but had to cancel within about an hour due to a major international travel disruption while I was overseas. A Hyatt representative even sent a waiver to the hotel’s front desk confirming the charge should be waived.Despite cancelling almost immediately and never checking in or using the room, I was still charged. When I contacted the hotel, the manager was dismissive and refused to issue a refund, stating the hotel was fully booked that evening.The issue is not about the hotel being full — the reservation had already been cancelled quickly and a waiver had been issued. I also never stayed at the property.I have now escalated the matter to Hyatt corporate and hope they will review the documentation and resolve the situation fairly. I expected better customer service from a brand like Hyatt.
