    Effing resort fees. I booked with points and STILL was hit with resort fees. Resort fees and no pool! Most outlets in the room didn’t have power either. Good location, though.     Assured me I would not be charged a cancellation fee. Charged me anyway. Lied to me and claimed they had documentation I was informed of the fee but then stopped responding when I requested a copy of that record. Dishonest front desk.     Disappointing Experience at a 4 Star JW Marriot DC

    Location is pretty strategic and has easy access to walk around downtown to visit major attractions. However, the room is not ready until 1.30pm. The room amenities were always upon request including water, tooth paste, and slippers. The bed was dirty, resulting to a bed bug which bit my son. The room was rather dusty, which can be found anywhere on the desk, couch, and window side. But compliments to the bellboys who were friendly and provided us with quick assistance. The presentation of the room service was shocking. The lady delivered the food in a paper bag with plastic cutlery. Considering how this is a 4 star hotel, this experience as a whole was not what I expected and was very underwhelming. We were visiting Washington, DC to celebrate my daughter’s graduation, and the hotel made the occasion feel even more special.     The food options were weak. The restaurant was lacking enough service staff. We ordered room service for breakfast. It arrived in to go packages in a paperbag! We used the ottoman as a table.
