Location

This charming European-style hotel is located close to the Foggy Bottom area just 3 blocks from the White House and a short walk from Georgetown. The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts may also easily be reached on foot.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in an 11-storey building with a lift and 134 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, room service and a laundry service. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. A fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, microwave and tea/coffee station, as well as a complete set of utensils, is a standard feature. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a café and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. A fortifying breakfast is served daily. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Lovely traditional hotel very close to tourist attractions in Washington. We chose a double room which was very spacious and nicely furnished.Quiet and clean, with bath tub as well as shower. Fridge in small " kitchen," . Helpful and courteous staff.Pleasant bar and dining room.Good air conditioning which is essential in Washington summer.

    This hotel is a gem, a home away from home. Everyone who works here is pleasant, helpful, accommodating, and professional. Henry and Leslie are attentive and make every effort to ensure that we enjoy our stay here in our Nation's capital. The hotel is spotless and comfortable; we are treated like welcome guests; the restaurant and bar are top shelf. The location is just terrific as well, no matter if one is traveling for business or pleasure. Located right in the heart of D.C., this neighborhood is safe at all times.     Good place to stay, awesome place to be taken care of !

    -Location: 4.5 starsWas excellent for our needs (college graduation) relatively centrally located for downtown DC.-Atmosphere: 4 stars Historic, charming, quaint but dimly lit.-Rooms: 3.5 stars Tall ceiling but floor plan on the small side, interesting double door entry, small closet, small shower and toilet space.-Value: 3.5 stars Rates were higher for graduation as opposed to "off season" supply/demand issue.-Cleanliness: 4.5 stars Walls, floors, ceilings, corners, closet, shelves and bathroom were all on point with no dust or stains !-Noise Level: 3 stars Mostly floor to floor (above us not below) and hall noise (other people in hallway), some neighboring room noise thru ventilation grate; however the bathroom to room noise was virtually non-existent.-Service: 5 stars Outstanding and excellent ! Can't say enough good things about ALL staff here ! (from Front Desk, Bellmen, Housekeeping, Bartender(s) to Engineering). All team members were kind, professional and accommodating.**Henry & Russel at the Front desk went out of their way to accommodate our needs with an incredibly friendly and professional attitude !**-Amenities 2.5 starsDidn't use house Wi-Fi so can't speak to that.Good = Shower had body wash, shampoo and conditioner that was very nice. Coffee maker and coffee was adequate. Not so good = TV was small, very low resolution (wouldn't even display the full banner on news channels, ESPN and the like-and I know how to set up TVs) not a "Smart" TV (couldn't stream or use my credentials for Prime, Netflix etc.) and had a strange CATV feed. No microwave (with so many good eateries around here there are bound to be leftovers that one may wish to re-heat) Refrigerator was packed with overpriced drinks so no place to store leftovers Overall the staff made the visit ! and would recommend for anyone who doesn't need to be budget conscience.     Great Location cozy hotel, easy walk or Metro ride to all the attractions. Large clean rooms great staff. Mohammed in the bar/lounge was so nice along with all the doormen and especially Kevin.
