    I am a returning guest to this property. I loved it when I stayed last year. I was so excited for my stay, but things have changed and although it was ok it wasn't as nice as I remembered. I am a Titanium Elite member, so I appreciate the early access to the lounge as well as the ability to leave my bags at the property before checking in. Everyone is also fairly friendly, but there was nothing special about staying there this time. The food in the lounge was decent as was my room. But it overlooked another building so I spent the entire time with my curtains closed for fear of someone seeing into my room because of the proximity of the other building. Although I did early check in and asked if there was any possibility of a more hospitable room, each request was denied. I was disheartened. The lounge attendants were awesome. Pleasant, smiling and ever attentive but the snack options were the same for the entire time I was there. Some lack luster candy and chick peas. No variety AT ALL. I am glad no one took me up on my recommendations to stay at this location rather than the Grand Hyatt around the corner. I have to attend the same conference in the area next year and will see if there are any other Marriott properties that would value a repeat traveler.

    I booked a family stay at the hotel for 10 nights for my wife, son and myself; and another 4 nights for my 2 daughters arriving during our stay.To be sure everything was fine, did over the phone directly with Marriott. Bonvoy costumer service. At that time, I suggested to make to reservations; one for the first 6 nights; and a second reservation for the 4 nights for the 2 rooms.Now I find out that they did it on purpose; the rooms (corner rooms with a view), had a view to offices no more than 3 meters away from our windows.Rooms were on separate floors (my kids are 11), when specifically asked for communicating or next door rooms.To top the poor service, the fake and deceiving “BONVOY” Loyalty Program… I paid 12 nights and they credited 8.After complaint the answer is: “Marriott Bonvoy® members may earn points and Elite Night Credits for up to three rooms only when all rooms have the same check-in and check-out dates and are reserved under the same account, with the member staying in one of the rooms.”Why didn’t that happen? Because BONVOY sales associates didn’t allow it!So I was misled by Marriott.Besides, it’s the third time staying there and the hotel is always with work in progress.It seems to be a construction site more than a hotel.WATCH OUT YOU CAN ALSO EASILY BE misled by Marriott Bonvoy Costumer Care Service.     Been staying here each time to DC for 15 years. Personnel (doorman, desk, valet, waitress, maids & hospitality staff) have been the best). The only drawback was the restaurant. Since the remodel, price is a little high for the value. Bk'fast is ok but I always eat elsewhere for all my other meals. Starbucks on site. I highly recommend this hotel. AND.... the Metro Center is the hub to go anywhere in the city.

    Encounters with whole staff were pleasant, particularly with Ices in valet. She is very friendly and dependable - I felt very comfortable leaving my vehicle in her hands.

    second stay would stay again

    Stayed at the Marriott Met Center while working at the Convention Center. Nice, comfortable, and quiet; it was my second stay here and would return. Close to many restaurants and things to see and do, it was right on that cusp of maybe further than I wanted to walk to the Convention Center, but not quite worth getting a car. Your mileage may vary, and that’s not a reflection on the Marriott.
