This property is a preferred choice among world travellers and the city's elite. It enjoys an ideal setting in the fashionable West End Georgetown neighbourhood, a few blocks from Embassy Row, the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts, DuPont Circle, the Smithsonian Museums, national monuments, boutique shopping (approximately 1.2 km), the metro station (Foggy Bottom, about 1.2 km away), art galleries, bars (some 1.1 km) and restaurants (around 1.7 km). It is about 2 km to the White House, 2.4 km to the National Mall, some 3.5 km to the Spy Museum and 4.3 km to the Newseum.

Facility

The hotel has 15 junior suites, 20 suites, 200 single rooms and 16 double rooms, which are located on 10 storeys and are reachable by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. A balcony or terrace is among the standard features in the rooms. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available.     I had a business trip and extended it into a family trip over Memorial Day weekend. I messaged the hotel ahead of time, and they kindly accommodated my request to connect my junior suite to my standard two bed room.     The location of the hotel is nice for visiting Georgetown, the White House, downtown, etc. The staff were not trained well and there were multiple hiccups throughout my stay where I had to ask several times for the same things to get done (i.e. sink in bathroom not working properly, curtain wouldn't shut all the way letting light in), and the rooms are in extreme need of renovations. The paint was cracking throughout the room, the carpet had major stains, and the swimming pool is tiny (no way to really swim laps there, more for kids I guess). Honestly, I don't know how they maintain the Park Hyatt brand when it could easily be a grand hyatt or regency hyatt and still not get stellar marks. I usually stay at the Willard or Conrad and this is not even remotely in the same league as either of these hotels. I had started out early this year planning on getting the globalist status with Hyatt this year after being top tier in the Intercontinental and Hilton but have now decided against it after multiple disappointement.     Beautiful hotel in a great location in Washington DC. Rooms are beautiful, beds are very comfortable. The Hyatt staff is amazing. I ordered room service several times.
