    Damp moldy room

    I was in Room 722, which had a terrible damp/mold problem. Several weeks later, I am still coughing. I arrived late at night and thought at first that it was just that smell you sometimes get in over-air conditioned American buildings, but the next day I realised that there were damp spots on the ceiling and the wallpaper was peeling. They shouldn’t be renting this room out, but, hey, anything for a buck, right?

    I recently stayed at the Churchill Hotel during a business trip to DC, and overall I had a great experience. The location was incredibly convenient for meetings downtown and in Georgetown.At the start of my stay, there was a hiccup with retrieving my rental car from valet, which unfortunately caused me to be late to my first meeting. However, Deborah Lofgren, the manager, handled the situation quickly and professionally. She was kind, understanding, and made sure my car was ready early for the rest of my stay, which I truly appreciated.The hotel restaurant was also excellent. I ate breakfast there every morning, and both the food and service were consistently great.Overall, I would highly recommend the Churchill Hotel for either business or leisure travel in DC.
