Location

This large, modern hotel in the style of an atrium, is located at the heart of Washington D.C., close to Thomas Circle, the Capitol, the White House and the National Monuments.

Facility

Guests have a choice of junior suites, 13 suites, 7 studios, 247 single rooms and 140 double rooms located in a 14-storey main building and a 14-storey auxiliary building. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, room service and a laundry service. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station.     Not good. This is probably the worst Westin I have ever visited. DC is generally depressing and run down right now, but I was hopeful that the Westin would be at its usual standards. It is not. The room feels dirty. The restaurant is sub-optimal. The area around the hotel is a bit scary. I will not stay here again. General Manager, Owner at The Westin Washington, D.C.
