Location superb, great rooms and dining pretty good.

    rating13 Jun 2026

Our room was spacious with a stand alone gorgeous tub. Service was pretty good- for example had to ask for bath salts or anything ‘extra’. Would like for breakfast menu to have more options and the peacock restaurant is lacking in ambiance and not very comfortable for dining. The food however was pretty good. The main attraction is the location - walking distance to so much. The bellmen were all very helpful and friendly. For Hilton top tier level having $25 per guest for breakfast doesn’t even cover the cost - felt this was very stingy which why I felt the food was just ok!

This Waldorf lives up to expectations. Service, ambiance, rooms, restaurants, Peacock Alley. You will not be disappointed. For an employee that goes above and beyond, seek out Anteneh! See you soon WA DC!

An excellent start to our vacation

    rating30 May 2026

The Waldorf Astoria Washington DC was the perfect way to start our vacation, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely outstanding. Every interaction we had—from the bellmen to the front desk staff to the team at the bar—was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. It’s rare to find a hotel where every employee consistently delivers such a high level of hospitality, but that was certainly the case here.We spent our first evening enjoying drinks and appetizers at the bar, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was elegant and inviting, the food and cocktails were excellent, and the service was top-notch. It was the perfect place to unwind and begin our trip.Check-in was seamless, the bellmen were attentive and helpful with our luggage, and the entire staff made us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. The hotel itself is stunning, blending historic grandeur with modern luxury, but what truly sets this property apart is the people who work there. The Waldorf Astoria Washington DC delivered exactly the kind of experience you hope for when staying at a luxury hotel. It provided a memorable start to our journey, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and a truly first-class experience in Washington, DC Senih Geray, Owner at Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, responded to this review Dear Guest, we truly appreciate your candid feedback and how we exceeded your expectations. It seems like our bar staff and bellmen were the stars of the stay. Thank you for recognizing their superb customer service.

    Expensive but very good

    rating25 May 2026

Stayed here for one night. The room is extremely well-lit and impressive with the high ceilings and windows. It was very clean. Wifi was fast and reliable. The location is convenient for the attractions on the National Mall, as museums are just one street away. There was only a low hum of traffic from the street outside (not bothersome); there was no noise from other rooms. The gym is large with a variety of machines and plenty of bottled water, as well as some fruit. The breakfast at the restaurant (Peacock Alley) is good but quite expensive even for the quality. Overall, the stay was excellent but worth checking if there are other comparable options at a potentially much lower price point. Senih Geray, Owner at Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you for highlighting our uplifting rooms, fast wi-fi and convenient location. It seems like you have also visited our gym for a good work out! We also appreciate your value related feedback.
