Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover

This hotel is slowly transforming itself into a top-rated destination. The area is loaded with shops, restaurants and the meadow lands facility. This hotel is right on the main road, but quiet. We chose this location originally because it is quiet. The rooms have been redone. Best hotel mattress we have had in a long time; new and firm. Clean. Everything was clean. They left the main areas and exterior for last. Many places do it the other way around, so it's a bit of a let down in the rooms. This is just the opposite. We resided in just a solid, good room at a good price, and even nice hallways. Good job to management and staff. Stefanie Kulla, Owner at Doubletree By Hilton Washington Meadow Lands Casino Area, responded to this review Thank you for your thoughtful review and for recognizing the progress our hotel has been making. We truly appreciate your patience throughout our renovation journey. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your newly renovated room, found everything clean and comfortable, and especially loved the new mattress. Providing a restful night's sleep is one of our top priorities, so it's wonderful to know we delivered.Thank you as well for acknowledging our team's hard work. We intentionally prioritized renovating our guest rooms first so our guests could immediately enjoy the improved accommodations while we continue enhancing our public spaces and exterior. We're excited about the progress still to come and look forward to welcoming you back to experience the finished product. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Not Up To Hilton Standards
05 Dec 2025
Overnight stay, Dec 4, for business in the area. Very sub-par hotel with a strange layout. My room was 102, but to get to it from the lobby required walking a long hallway and navigating a steep set of about 10 steps. Very difficult carrying a suitcase. The elevator to the upper floors also appears to be accessible only from the ground floor. The room itself was clean, but not very warm, and lighting was very poor. The only positive about this stay was the very professional and polite front desk clerk. She was very accommodating and quickly moved me to another room when a plumbing issue was discovered shortly after I checked in. I don't recommend this hotel and will select another Hilton property next time. General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Doubletree By Hilton Washington Meadow Lands Casino Area, responded to this review Debram, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry your stay didn’t meet expectations and appreciate you letting us know about the challenges you encountered. It’s good to hear our front desk team member made a positive impression and assisted you promptly. Your feedback will be reviewed with our team as we look for ways to improve.
