I suggest you skip the Comfort Inn in Cody, Wy (there are many other fine local options). Here was my recent experience. First, I had made some basic room requests such as a room facing away from the busy road out front, etc. These requests were totally ignored and when I inquired why this was so, I was told that their Reward Program member's priorities are secondary to large bus tours (so much for their 'Special' Reward Member program). I did suggest that it might be better to acknowledge that special room requests were made, but could not be fulfilled for whatever reason upon check-in, instead of sending guests off to a room with apparent total disregard of their requests. Second, upon settling into my room I noticed that my sock was soaked. Upon investigation, I noticed that there was a large wet area on the carpet next to the bed (ewwwww). As you can imagine this was unsettling, most uncomfortable, and I have no idea what fluid I was stepping in. When I discussed the ignored room requests and wet carpet with the front desk, the issues were dismissed with a relative nonchalance, and with no offer to compensate for the issues. Also, the hotel is worn and very underwhelming. Just pass this hotel up for a better offering in Cody, WY. Perhaps a hotel that does not prioritize bus tour groups over families on vacation, and takes the condition of their rooms more seriously.

It was comfortable & clean

I think this was called the holiday inn during our stay. Hotel was in a good location. Very clean and comfortable. Bar staff was very friendly. Prices typical. Breakfast was OK better than some on our trip.

A beautiful drive to Yellowstone National Park
22 Aug 2025
I chose this hotel because it offered an alternative to staying in the more expensive hotels in the Yellowstone National Park. The hotel is efficient, as its staff is helpful with eating choices, various routes to the Park, and has excellent amenities such as the free morning breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, and historical sites. It is also quiet considering its location on the busy main street of Cody. Although the breakfast area is separated from the hotel itself (with a Holiday Inn in between), it is a short walk to a delightful breakfast in an old theater setting, and welcoming hosts. There is also a shop adjacent to the cafe' with local souvenirs and gifts. I was quite impressed with the entire property, and selected this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews.

Outdated decor but clean & comfortable
22 Jul 2025
The hotel decor is kind of dark and outdated, but the room was clean and comfortable with good lighting and good access to charging ports. The breakfast is a parking lot away in a different building but was adequate. The area was kept clean and well stocked and the staff was very friendly. The common area (the hall outside our door) was not vacuumed during the 4 nights we were there. (There was a piece of trash on the floor the entire time.) The hotel is on the main road in town and close to many restaurants and stores.

Prepare for no clean rooms or service for supplies…Enjoy at good breakfast and shuttle service.

The breakfast was amazing and the staff at the hotel can take some clues in customer service from those who provide service at breakfast.Asked to get our room cleaned not done, sl for the 5 days only was cleaned once the day before we left..got some towels one of the days..scant service at the front desk..The only reason I gave it a 2 is for the breakfast and shuttle service to and from the airport. I would give them a 5
