Hotel was beautiful. Room was stuffy without AC and the dining room food was just okay. Skip the dinner reservation and get the AMAZING appetizers at the bar for dinner!

The hotel has an old world charm in a fabulous location. It is pricy but very nice. Dinners are very good as well.

Location very good and we stayed in the Sandpiper Lodge at Lake Yellowstone Hotel. Room small but very clean and enough room to put all our belongings. The one disappointment was the restaurant for dinner. Limited choices and food was okay nothing special. The salads however were very good and generous. Breakfast was very good.

As senior with some travel experience I was more then disappointed with my stay at Yellowstone Hotel. I would suggest that one you understand the concept of the law of supply and demand when booking a very expensive cubicle of a space, which had no amenities (TV or Fridge). The demand would be the only reason for the excess charge of $600+ for one night. We arrived after 7PM and left before 8AM to visit sites in the park. We had a very substandard breakfast at 6:30AM, after being seated by a very rude greater. Ham Steak was cold and potates were undercooked coffe was hot. The server was very nice. caveat emptor

Terrible experience. Booked “deluxe” room with lake view. No WiFi or cell service. Old and noisy. Our server at breakfast was so odd that we didn’t even know he was our server. He never introduced himself and was totally checked out. But, the worst part was the uncleanliness of our room. I noticed that there was blood on the base of our toilet. I then noticed that there was blood on the door handle to the bathroom. We went downstairs and told reception. They couldn’t move us but gave us a room discount and said they’d clean it. I told them to make sure to clean the door handle. Well, they cleaned the toilet but not the door handle. My poor husband ended up cleaning it. Then I noticed blood on the bedsheets. They sent someone to replace the linens. At that point I just couldn’t wait to leave. It’s clear that this hotel is deficient in many areas, like most of the Yellowstone park hotels. It’s sad, because it clearly was a wonderful hotel at some point in history.
