Genuinely the best place that has it all

    rating09 Jun 2026

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Pines Resort at Bass Lake and had an amazing experience. We were honestly impressed from the moment we arrived. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and really on top of everything. Everyone we spoke with was helpful, thorough, and easy to talk to, which made the whole stay feel smooth and comfortable. We stayed in one of the cabin style lodges and loved it. It was clean, cozy, spacious, and stocked with everything we needed. There were plates, towels, a fridge, plenty of room, and a fireplace that made the nights feel extra special. It had that perfect lake cabin feeling without feeling outdated or neglected. Everything felt clean and cared for.The whole resort was very well maintained. The restaurant, market, office areas, parking lot, and common spaces were all clean and organized. Pines Market was also way better than expected and had more than enough for anything we needed during the stay. The location is what really makes this place special. Being right on Bass Lake is beautiful, peaceful, and convenient. There is easy parking, space to walk around, lake access, fishing, boat rentals, restaurants, a fitness center, and plenty to do without having to leave the resort. It is also a great place to stay if you are visiting Yosemite but still want a relaxing lake resort experience. The Pines Resort genuinely feels like a hidden gem. It was romantic, comfortable, clean, and easily one of the nicest places in the Bass Lake area. We left already talking about coming back.

??? ????? ???????????? ? ???????????? ??????? ?????? ?? ??????????:Terrible experience. The staff at both the front desk and the market were rude and unhelpful. When I checked in, I was given keys to a room that was already occupied, and the assigned parking spot was taken as well. When I returned to the front desk, nobody even apologized. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, they told me they would call security to find out what was going on. I stood there for about 15 minutes waiting, with no updates, and eventually decided to leave and rent a kayak. Only another 15 minutes later did someone finally call me and say everything had been sorted out.The room itself was disappointing. It seemed like whoever serviced it had watered down the soap and shampoo. The bottles in the bathroom were about three-quarters diluted with water and practically unusable. It was basically soapy water. Feel free to check them yourselves. What shocked me the most was the complete lack of hospitality. Nobody asked how my stay was going, wished me a good day, or even asked how I was doing. I had stayed here before, and my previous experience was completely different.Everything is also extremely expensive. To make matters worse, when my shopping bag tore in the market and I politely asked for a replacement bag, I was refused. The employee simply said, “This one will tear too.”Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and nowhere near the level of service I experienced during my previous visit.

We have just stayed at The Pines resort for a few nights on our road trip. I can honestly say the place is amazing and a great base if you are visiting Yosemite. The cabin was immaculate and the resort and its Lake really made our stay memorable.

    Definitely coming back to Pines

Check-in process was fast, painless & friendly. Room was clean and nothing else was needed. We got the pet friendly cabin and the special doggie package made my skeptical doggie relax. Grounds were clean and plenty of employees around made safety concerns go away.

    Great resort by the Lake.

What a cool place to go to and visit. Coming here last summer it was my 1st time ever. The location was awesome its pretty much its own area kinda like its own little city. Once you drive into the main area you drive into what you can call a city center with shops, restaurants, and a grocery/general store. If you forgot something you can definitely buy it there but it might be a little more pricey say if you drive a little bit to Groveland and go to any store in the city. The atmosphere is cool, I was made aware of this place as one of my favorite all time movies The Great Outdoors was filmed there. The area and cabins are cool and it all surrounds Bass Lake. Our room was 2 story and had plenty of room for a family bigger than 4 as we were. Has everything you need inside from a stove, to refrigerator you get it all. Cleanliness was good really nothing bad to say. Only thing really is you can tell room has been put through the ringer as I am sure that with all the guests visiting every year probably all year round that a room can get runned down but overall clean and comfy. We also got to see a bear in the area so be aware of that it was pretty cool to see as i've never seen a bear live and close in person before unless at a zoo. The lake is big so depending where you stay there are plenty of options for you and your family. Would and will come back again with friends and or family.
