Happy with our Choice of Lodging

    rating23 Sept 2026

We stayed at Yosemite Valley Lodge in mid-September with our family. We had a room with two double beds in Juniper and our daughter and her family had a bunk room in Hemlock. We were side-by-side. They had the nicest view. Our room's view was obstructed by trees. The best way to describe our room would be to pictures a run down motel but with a really high daily rate. We spent so little time actually in the room that it did not matter to us. The price is worth the ease of getting to the sites early in the day.

    Yosemite Valley Lodge

    rating21 Sept 2026

Consistent with previous reviews, you cannot beat the location of the Lodge. It is close to several trail heads and other amenities. That is where the positives end. The room was dark, run-down and barely clean. The staff were like robots and not interested in any personal interaction. For $500 per night, one would expect more.

    Yosemite Valley Lodge…. Location only!

    rating21 Sept 2026

We stayed in the Azalea building. I had already read the rooms were run down and you were paying for location. Very true!! Location was excellent. Our room was so dark even with all the lights on you could barely see what the details of the room was. I did see all the spider webs. They were so big in the bathroom window and window by the bed. I don’t know how you could clean a room and not just get all the webs down. Good Halloween!!

Location spot on expensive for what you can get

    rating18 Sept 2026

Location amazing and perfect for our one night stay. Room was ok very hot, and very noisy with everyone outside and you pay a premium for staying here.Food - what a complete let down. Looked at the mountain room but couldn’t get in sadly, the menu at the mountain room lounge was very limited and nothing really we wanted. People who had ordered seemed to leave more than they ate. Staff not very politeSo we ended up in base camp eatery and as long as you want pizza or burgers and fried food then you may find something. We ordered pizza and a pulled chicken burger on the same order. Pizza was ready in minutes and then had to sit and wait for the burger. It was edible but not enjoyable Fast forward to the morning and we wanted to grab a Starbucks coffee and toasted sandwich. Yes it was busy but had a lot of staff on so we thought let’s waitCoffee cam out quick and 20 minutes later still waiting for our toasties despite people ordering after us leaving before us ! Complained and finally another 10minutes of waiting we good the food.So considering the price of this place it seriously needs looking at the food choices as is awful

Only if you don’t mind dirt and other peoples hair

    rating18 Sept 2026

This is the most disgusting room I have ever stayed in. It was filthy and reeked of mice. I asked that they refill the conditioner dispenser and was completely ignored. I had to ask 4 times for a cot. I’ve stayed at many national parks and have never seen such disregard for cleaning a room or interacting with guests.
