  Booked a Business Suite, everything looked ok. Room was comfy, big and had good facilities. However, the room was only cleaned during the afternoon, never during the morning. Having said that, breakfast was great, receptionists were very friendly. Definitely returning when I'm back in UY.

  Poor gym, franchised restaurant

  Firstly, I had brought these concerns at the time of our stay, and sent an email to the hotel but received no response. I see from a previous review a year ago about the poor condition of the gym and I can only confirm this is still the same. I would go as far to say it is in a dangerous condition, so find somewhere else. Secondly the so called cafe and restaurant is inadequate and not part of the hotel, although you will have breakfast there. If you're not aware at the time of writing you will receive an 18% discount on a credit or debit card when used in a restaurant or cafe in Uruguay. The manager of this restaurant refused to apply the discount, with no explanation and when asked for her companies address for me to complain she didn't know who she worked for!? The staff on the hotel side tried to help but to no avail. In my opinion it reflected badly onto the hotel. PS remember to pay at the restaurant not at reception when you check out from a hotel as the discount won't apply at hotels

  DO NOT pay the hotel RESTAURANT without 1st ensuring they'll give you the Tax discount.DON'T use the GYM (very unsafe).

  We are at this hotel now. The RESTAURANT Staff here are not to be trusted. They were the only restaurant who did not respect their Government's law that any tourist paying at a restaurant with a card, should receive an 18% discount. When asked for her Employer details (for complaint reasons), the female (seemingly in charge) said she didn't know who employed her! She presumably knows who pays her wage! The hotel Gym is useless & dangerous. The 1 multi-gym apparatus (that exercises the arms & legs etc...) has a badly worn pulley wire ready to snap on use & if it did it's likely to cause very bad injury. The leg exercise bit is well worn, with a loose bit on the floor. The 1 bike machine has no foot straps on the pedals & it doesn't pedal smoothly, it clicks loudly every turn. The 2 treadmills work but are old & cracked in places. There's a huge mirror (useful) but VERY dangerous.. It's only leaning against a wall, not attached securely & is quite sharp-edged. Our gym session did not last very long. Possibly the worst hotel we've stayed in.
