An alternative form of hotel on first entering but the rooms (which include a small kitchen) are of a very good size, and well appointed. The balcony was also very large and we had a great aspect in Room 212.It is quite a walk from the centre of Punta del Este but can readily be walked.There are also a number of restaurants very close to the hotel, with plenty of choice, and also a convenient supermarket, Fresh Market just a few minutes walk away.The pool was good, and there is also a sauna - no-one else around when we used them.We had an issue on departure, when our transfer did not turn up. The reception staff were very helpful indeed in helping us to book an alternative solution for our journey to Colonia del Sacramento.A great hotel all round

Recommended but best choose a room away from the noisy bars and their loud music for a good night's sleep!

The hotel is very conveniently located , walking distance from the Shopping Centre. It was good value for money with a Spring promotional rate, especially as we could opt for independence and not pay for breakfast as the apartment has a small kitchen to prepare something basic in the room.Best rooms have a balcony and overlook houses and gardens at the back, quieter than overlooking the street. However if there is availability, best to choose block 21 to be far away from neighbouring noisy bars which start playing loud and/or live music late as the weekend approaches. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and a nice touch in reception was the courtesy capsule coffee machine . Internet was fine and the covered parking well located next to reception. And importantly the bed was very comfortable. There is a small heated indoor swimming pool (which we did not use) and adjoining gym. Not much variety in international TV channels, at least for news.

Nice hotel, but asks for a room from the second floor and above

Location is not perfect, but it's close to the shopping mall and great restaurants. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. Still, there's the problem with the bar on the first floor. As I'm writing these lines, I'm feeling really angry because, I need to wake up tomorrow at 6 AM (I came on a work trip) it's long past midnight now and I can still hear the tango and crappy latin music from the bar in the floor right below my room. If they want to keep the bar, they better invest in soundproofing the rooms. Otherwise, good luck with booking the first floor rooms. I'm not staying again unless I can get a room on the upper floors.

2122 Hotel Art Design worked perfect. Central to a lot of things in PDE and our room even had different kinds of plug adapters. Parking was easy too. Its about a half hour walk from the main spots in the heart of PDE but that's probably best during high season.

The hotel has a great location, close to the two most famous beaches of Punta and very close to Punta's shopping mall. The rooms are nice, cozy and spacious and staff is very friendly. The breakfast does not leave anything to be desired either!
