We stayed in this hotel for a couple of days of down time while touring Uruguay. Punta Del Este is a lovely location and this hotel was in a prime spot to get around on foot. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very all lovely and dealt with our lack of Spanish very well. The only downside was they had an indoor pool but it was very hot and small as was the gym

New and modern boutique hotel walkable to beach
02 Jun 2024
This is a nice new boutique hotel (opened in late 2021) in Punta del Este, about a 15 min walk from the bus station. We booked a sea view room which is quite spacious, with a couch. Bed a bit too soft which is surprising as modern hotels usually have firmer beds. Decor is modern with mostly white and light grey color schemes. Big full length windows and large balcony with glass barriers. If you stay more than one night it's worth booking the sea view room as it not just have better views but is physically bigger than rooms on the other side. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk across a couple of roads with some traffic although not too busy. The beach chairs you sign out from the hotel are comfortable with high backs and very light weight so not difficult to carry. The pool is tiny, basically just a soaking pool. There is a rooftop sun deck and bar. Breakfast is good with hot food - eggs and bacon - cold cuts, pastries and fruits. It's a 20 minute walk to the main downtown area with restaurants, shopping - including a big grocery store near the visitor info area although there are a few other dining options closer by as well.

Recommend the Hotel Solerios -- a Modern Hotel in Punta del Este
30 Mar 2024
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Solerios in Punta del Este. This relatively new hotel is close enough to walk to the beaches and attractions of Punta but is in a bit of a quieter area...a nice combination. The room was comfortable and modern, all the amenities (e.g. wi-fi, fitness center) were top-notch. And the breakfast buffet was delicious. My only criticism is that they have very powerful lights illuminating the parking area and they shine right into some of the rooms. The curtains, after a bit of manipulation, did block out the glare; but it was a bit of a nuisance and seems like an easy fix for management to make.

Expectations Not Met
01 Feb 2024
Our agency had suggested a different hotel. As it seemed to be too far away from downtown I suggested the Solerios as an alternative. I must admit to myself that this was not the best decision...The hotel is new and the deluxe room was spacious. I did not mind that the room was on a lower floor with the hotel's parking lot beneath our balcony. What I found disappointing was the following:- The restaurant was closed for dinner.- The buffet breakfast was just average and definitely not what a 4-star hotel should offer.- Housekeeping needs better monitoring. Mould formation is best stopped when it starts. And the fact that the lid of the waste bin in the bathroom (it had obviously come off before our stay and been placed provisionally on top) was put back again although we had put it aside to signal a need for either replacement or repair is self-explanatory.Sorry, but we would not go back again...

Modern and new

Wonderful hotel. Modern and new! They provide chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The breakfast is ample. The rooftop is beautiful with a gym and inside pool. I highly recommend! We walked everywhere from hotel. Always found parking. Restaurant close by.
