  jaded but great room

  Gloria Hotel may have seen better days but the room was big, clean and the bed was great. Bathroom well appointed so a big plus. Good basic 3 star.Most of the staff were helpful and friendly, though they missed both our wake up calls.Breakfast choice fine, but evening meals were better elsewhere and the bar was basic beer & vodka.

  I arrived on Saturday at 8 in the morning and they gave me the key to the room. They forgot wake up call at 7 in the morning as I had requested. I made the check out on Sunday morning and went back next Saturday because I had a booked one month in advance. And then I am told that I have to pay $ 35 from the previous Saturday for entering at 8 a.m. They had to inform me when I did the chek in the previous Saturday and not a week later. The staff is not very friendly. The wifi works badly or does not work. They forgot the wake up call and the employee was sleeping when I got off. I will not returning to Gloria Hotel in Tashkent Federico Zurita.GranadaSpain

  I was very pleased with this hotel. My room was large (but not all rooms are the same size) and it was well appointed. Breakfast in the morning was fine - plenty of choices. I ordered room service many nights and was always happy with the food delivered. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Wifi was a little patchy at times, but usually worked well. Location is good and the hotel looks clean and polished. Recommended.

  Room 302 was very spacious and very good with all amenities (but no safe).Breakfast was not what you expect from a 4-star hotel, especially when you pay USD 110,- a night. It was too basic. Furthermore the employee dedicated to the breakfast service was dull and lazy. Preparing a cup of tea or of coffee was too much for him. Replenishing the buffet never happened. Cleaning the tables to make them free for new guests took ages. Totally unacceptable in a 4-star hotel

  Our original hotel had construction work on so that manager suggested this hotel. We called up and the Reception were most helpful in negotiating a better rate for us.The rooms are large and well furnished. Everything works here unlike our experience with Hotel Uzbekistan! The room service and laundry are efficient. The breakfast is excellent and you get freshly made eggs or porridge as per your order. The food spread is compact and well laid out, a good range.The only issue was the massage. The lady tried to get a higher rate by claiming she did a point massage when in fact it was standard massage. Also she was not really a true masseur in my personal view. Overall, a good location as lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. A good choice to stay.
