  Maracaibo is like the Gaita, Abandonada y sin un real.

  The kristoff Hotel at Maracaibo has good services overall all the staff is making a strong effort to keep running all services in good level, there is a reality in Venezuela that we cannot hide, everything is surviving, hotel guest are very low, hotel booking improve on weekend, very poor visitor levels in Maracaibo, the hotel installation is ok maintenance is ok, Quality is ok, food ok, hotel staff in very kind and make you happy more for their commitments to still alive in a chaotic country. Safety around and inside is good in nova days, restaurant around are ok. Nothing is cheap.The only thing that I was fully disagree is with 10% services charge in food and nothing is for employees as tips.Talking about Maracaibo city, look abandoned, just a small areas (bubble) are ok, plenty commercial office and buildings are closed or abandoned, God bless my city,

  If youi're looking for a centric-located bussiness hotel, with nicely kept facilities, meeting areas, and nice recreation facilities, look no further. Has a supermarket within one block, a liquor/convenience store in front. Their restaurants are some of the best in town, also their art store has an extensive offer of local artists for really competitive prices. Pool area is the best in town, so it is also excellent for families travelling together. Keep in mind that this is Venezuela, and Zulia region (where the hotel is located) is having hard times in particular, because of power shortages. Staff is well presented, could be more service-oriented, but didn't have any particular issues.

  Dated and rude receptionist

  I used to stay in this hotel several times. However, I decided now not to, since the receptionist was rude. She made me wait for 40 minutes to take to check a transaction. In Venezuela everything is a queue, the receptionist should have asked me to wait in my room and not standing in front of her office. Everything I asked for was not allowed, like getting a massage in my room. Since apparently guests can’t take visits to their rooms. On the other hand she made me give as deposit 50 usd promising that she will give it back when I leave the hotel. To my surprise the next day, she was not willing to give this money back but wanted me to consume more in the restaurant. The hotel is dated. You can hear the others. The first day I heard a couple making love.Some staff is really friendly though.

  HK is well located hotel, close to most of restaurants and comercial places. The room are clean and quite. The pool area is small, they need more tables and chair. You must go earlier if you want a place.

  Be aware of their management poor customer service

  I planned to visit this location during Easter weekend, but work changed my plans and requested a cancellation 24 hours after. since March 6, 2018, I've been engaging with different staff members, departments and what not. Today I was able to reach their administration department where a very rude lady stated that the other departments failed to submit the information and she is doing your job as fast as possible. After providing a detailed statement of all the other interactions that were documented over email, this person finally said the payment will go out today but it wouldn't arrive until next week. Of course, cancellations are a freaking mess everywhere, but lacking information about where the money is, makes hard to understand how such beautiful location is being run.I am definitely looking forward to visiting this hotel once again. Be aware, if you are processing a refund, you will have to stay on top of it.
