    We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and on the 4th night checked ourselves into another hotel as we could not stand another minute of being there. The first room had a horrible sewerage smell coming from the bathroom so we asked to be moved but could not get another room until the next night. The next room had broken shower head and the shower did not drain and do pooled at the bottom and over flowed into the floor. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the room noisy. The breakfast area is do small that we were required to share a table with strangers. Worst hotel ever.

    Stayed for a few nights on a trip across Vietnam with friends. The rooms are dated but clean and fairly large and comfortable. Good shower. Breakfast is OK, nothing special. Rooftop bar is great, a hidden gem. Staff are great, very attentive. Overall, a good option as a base to explore Hanoi.

    Great place. Nice and central. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast is great. Coffee is better than most! Best part is the staff. Really helpful and friendly and sort any issues as quick as possible. There’s enough good English to get the message across and it seems other languages too. Roof top bar is great and the cocktails are real cocktails. There’s an ATM if you turn right out the door and good coffee shop and if you go a bit further the 2nd best croissant shop in Hanoi. Still looking for the first! And they are magic croissants. Try the Karaoke if you like caramel. Walking distance (20mins). To the old town but grab will get you anywhere fast.

    A Tale of Three Stays

    We stayed at the Grand Babylon on three separate occasions during a TripaDeal holiday, so we feel fairly well qualified to comment.Let’s start with the negatives. On our first stay we were on the top floor, which you’d assume meant one of the better rooms. Sadly, the bed had the firmness of a limestone cave floor. It was so unforgiving that another traveler in our group, who later got the same room, resorted to a sleeping tablet just to get a few hours’ rest.Our second stay was also on the top floor, and the door lock situation is best explained by the photo. I guess the lock did technically exist, although I have very strong doubts as to it's effectiveness. Look's like they gave the job of installing it to the apprentice on their first day.Overall, the hotel is very dated.Now the positives. The staff were outstanding and genuinely friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the location is hard to beat. By our third stay, everything finally came together: a comfortable bed, a properly aligned secondary door lock, and a great view over the bay.Would we stay again? Maybe… but only if we knew which room we were getting.

    Hotel Babylon grand spa is a nice property. The location is outside old Qtr but it's just 30k vnd taxi ride to old qtr. Their breakfast spread is very good and the stuffs are smiling faces with happy to help nature. They have a spa but we didn't use it. Only cons are little old property which needs some maintenance but I would definitely recommend it for safe happy stay.
