We stayed 3 nights in Harmony Hotel. The hotel is clean and modern. Rooms small but nice. The hotel is in a good location in easy walking distance of shops and market. Good selection of local and western foods at breakfast

Book your Halong Bay trip here!

    rating16 Mar 2016

We stayed at a different hotel in Hanoi but since that hotel was the "exclusive" seller of the Imperial Halong Bay cruise (4/5-star), they didn't want to give us a discount on the cruise rate (around 200+USD). We tried looking for other sellers and Harmony Hotel was one and they gave us a cheaper rate. Unfortunately the hotel we were staying in found out so they asked Imperial not to fetch us at the hotel and we'd have to walk back to Harmony to be picked up. In short, Harmony Hotel offered us the Galaxy cruise instead which they guaranteed was also 4/5-star level. We were hesitant at first since this is a common scam tactic of operators wherein you pay for one cruise but they switch it to another but Harmony's manager (Tom) convinced us to give it a go. He even refunded a portion of the fee we paid because of the mixup. We're glad that we got the deal because the Galaxy cruise we took was indeed 4/5-star level. The ship looked new, the food was good (buffet style) and we did have the kayak session, cave session, and cooking class session (this is for the overnight cruise). So thank you very much Tom for the good rate and convincing us to take the deal! :) duckinh86, Manager at Hanoi Harmony Hotel, responded to this review Dear Value guestOn behalf of Harmony Hotel, i would like to apologize for your unpleasant and inconvenience at our Hotel. Staff made up for ran down hotel

    rating26 Feb 2016

The staff were great and the breakfast was good. Location wise it's great not to close to all bars but close enough to walk. I very much agree you pay for what you get and this hotel is very cheap. However the rooms are very dated and the bed may as well of been a plank of wood. Wifi didn't work in our room I had to go to the bathroom to check emails. Laundry costs double than the launderette down the road. duckinh86, Manager at Hanoi Harmony Hotel, responded to this review Dear Value GuestOn behalf of Harmony Hotel, i would like to apologize for your unpleasant and inconvenience at our Hotel. Pleasant staff, basic room, BAD WiFi and mattress.

    rating17 Jan 2016

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights at the start of a week long visit to Hanoi. We booked a day in advance (not the wisest) and went off the photos online - thinking that it looked functional and okay considering our budget. ✅ The lads at reception were pleasant to us and keen to help us. They came across as friendly young guys just doing there jobs. ✅ There was an elevator.✅ And breakfast available each morning. Although we didn't try it. ❌ They did use the walkway leading to our room as a storage space for odds and ends.✅ Our room was large and basic. ❌ However it did look different to the photos we had seen online before booking. ❌ The bathroom was a bit of a shock. It was part of the room and only divided by a glass barrier. It smelt quite bad and the smell unfortunately carried through to the sleeping area. ❌ The WiFi was useless. It cut out constantly and there wasn't much point trying to use it in the end. We went to Cafes if we needed to use WiFi. ❌ Our bed mattress was bad. It was uncomfortable and you could feel each spring in your back while sleeping. ❌ There was constant street noise 24/7. We had a room directly above the road out the front so it may not be so noisy in other rooms. ✅ The mini bar snacks were excellent. I recommend the seaweed potato chips! ☺️✅ ATM, corner store close by. We had an odd experience where on the last night we went to leave to go have dinner and the guy at reception stopped us. He explained that one of the other lads working there had hit a car with his motorbike and that he needed to go sort it out. He asked us to mind reception until he got back. We wanted to be kind so we agreed. So hilariously I manned the desk for a while until he came back. 😝It was fine but rather strange. All in all we concluded that for what we were paying we had to have realistic expectations and not be too condemning. However we managed to do more research and find a far, far better hotel at the same rate nearby. My suggestion - find something else ahead of time. And hopefully this hotel gets a much needed update. duckinh86, Manager at Hanoi Harmony Hotel, responded to this review Dear Value GuestOn behalf of Harmony Hotel, i would like to apologize for your unpleasant and inconvenience at our Hotel. Maybe a different hotel

    rating06 Dec 2015

The photos give an impression of quite a classy hotel but the reality is it feels a little tired. The room was a fair size but the negatives include lighting that was too dim, A/C that was slow to kick in, TV was too small for the size of the room and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The kicker for me though was the room was advertised as having sound proof windows. However just having windows that close doesn't make it sound proof.Because of the noise I only stayed the one night. If you're a sound sleeper then the hotel may represent good value. One more thing of note. One of the draws that other hotels in this price range doesn't have is a roof top breakfast room. It gave great views of... erm... other roof tops. duckinh86, Owner at Hanoi Harmony Hotel, responded to this review On behalf of Harmony Hotel, i would like to apologize for your unpleasant and inconvenience at our Hotel. We also would like to thank you for your value comments so that we can improve better our services as well as staff training in order to most satisfy our value guests staying at our Hotel.Thank you very much and take care!Sales Department
