    Plenty of room for improvement here. The hotel is ok - the staff are friendly and helpful on the whole. We were booked here as part of a tour for a couple of stays but the second time chose to stay somewhere else because of our experience. The rooms are not well insulated - so if you're unlucky, you'll be next door to people who have the TV blaring late at night - who are then shouting in the hallways the next morning at 5.30am. The breakfast room was completely full at 7.00am - . so you had to come back later which is ok but there was hardly anything left to eat or drink. What was left didn't look at all appetising anyway. If you want a cocktail in the evening - there's hardly anywhere close by. We checked out two days early and didn't get any refund - which we had expected - but interesting that we weren't asked anything about our stay. I recommend that you stay somewhere else.

    Satisfactory city hotel but nothing special

    There are two Lenid hotels in Hanoi - the one used by Intrepid tours is further away from Hoan Kiem lake but right next to the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison.Due to overbooking, I got to experience a different room on each of the three nights I stayed there. All were on the second floor. One was pretty nice, with a window overlooking the street. The other two faced onto an internal courtyard and felt more claustrophobic. The bathrooms had been cleaned well and there was plenty of hot water.The breakfast room is on the ground floor and had a somewhat limited buffet selection.

    Not A Four Star Hotel.

    This is NOT a 4 star hotel - it's a 3 star hotel, used by several tour companies for their groups.Spent four nights here. The hotel staff are EXCELLENT, super friendly and respond to any requestsimmediately. Reception was fine, except the actual reception area behind the desk looked like astorage area, with various boxes of things stacked up.The hotel's webpage and it's in-room compendium say it has a great restaurant, open for B,L and D.Arriving late after a long flight we asked about the restaurant, only to be told that it's only openfor breakfast ....The room was a good size and the bed comfortable - but tired. Like the whole hotel, it needs a serious refurbishment and modernising. The bathroom had a selection of toiletries, but the bathtub was not sealed around the wall, which resulted in water flooding the floor while you use the shower. Don't put anything under the sink if you don't want to get it wet !!Also in the in-room compendium you'll find the list of tv channels, but only a couple of the non-news English channels actually work. You get a blank screen on the others.Breakfast was adequate, but average - and crowded.The location is just outside the old town, but just around the corner from the Maison Centrale - the former colonial French prison and it's about a 15 minute walk to the stunning St Joseph's Cathedral which is modeled on Notre Dame.The hotel is clean and safe - just not of a 4 star standard.

    Stayed here twice not not by choice or was part of organised trip . Not in a very good area . Very little nice places to eat and no where for drinks . Hotel basic with no restaurant or bar service . I would choose other hotels if I was booking nearer the lake .

    Lenid Tho Nhuom Hanoi – stay Feb 2024 Two stays of 2 B&BReception area – Friendly staff. Luggage storage area. Foreign exchange.Room – Tea & coffee making facilities, but no milk. Stocked mini bar light in fridge permanently on first stay, complementary fruit. Safe. TV, good selection of channels. Air Con. Bath with overhead shower. No sealant around bath, so shower water goes down wall behind bath and onto floor below bath. Goodness knows what you could find growing under bath.Restaurant – More like a works canteen. Buffet breakfast.Facilities – Lifts. Laundry/dry cleaning service available.Wi-Fi - Good receptionWeather – Overcast 24c to 33cLocation – Hotel in old rundown area of Hanoi. Lots of small shops nearby.Of the five hotels I stayed at in Vietnam this was by far the worst.
