    Terrible hotel with unfriendly service

    I booked this hotel through Agoda. The male staff had poor English. He told me to wait 5 mins but we waited 50 minutes because he only allowed us to check in after 2 pm!!! The room was already ready! I requested: 1. Non-smoking but given a smoking room with smoking tray. 2. Early check-in but only got to check-in at 2:10 pm after I went back to the reception 5 times!!! I even sat next to the reception guy and he was constantly on the phone! There was a family with a baby who was allowed to check in earlier than me even they came after me! 3. Requested for high floor and was given a room on high floor next to their staff’s room. 4. Asked for a room with big bed but not given. I was traveling with my mom who is 78 years old and was treated absolutely third class!!!

    Perfect services in a luxury hotel

    I and my foreign partner just stay in Hanoi for 1 week. We book 2 rooms for some nights in Hanoi center before moving to Halong bay to check some things for contracts. This hotel can be rated more than 3 star due to its great location in the central district of capital nearby Hoankiem lake. All staff, so nice, gentil and hospitable. Incredible buffet for soft breakfast when wake up to say hello Vietnam from my business partner Kevin. The room for me & my partner are so large, vivid color and well-decorated, the window help a good view outside and more than expected, the bathroom is super clean, accommodating for any one want to take a bath. Everthing is awsome for us.

    this hotel has a good location and is 2 blocks from the Lake which is pleasant to walk around. However, it is a no frills hotel. breakfast is rather basic. The rooms are ok; mattress could be better. Staff can be helpful.

    Midrange hotel near Hoan Kiem Lake

    The hotel is located on the southern side of the Hoan Kiem Lake. Great choice if you are looking for a midrange hotel situated among key government offices. Shopping and dining areas in the Old Quarter are within 5-10 minutes walking distance. The hotel room itself is clean and well maintained. I was surprised though the room is smaller than I expected. The hotel's standard twin room is small than some budget hotels I've stayed in Hanoi. Nonetheless, other amenities and services are okay. Wifi is available though connection is a bit spotty. Buffet breakfast is available from 6:30 to 9:430 AM. Hotel staff is coruscate and attentive. Overall, it was a good stay.

    Superior room with small size room, enough for 1 person. The drainage on bathroom was not good but overall the bathroom was good. Breakfast menu not much with standard taste. The best point is near the lake and tourist area. There are car free days on Friday night until Sunday night, so you can walk by foot to enjoy the lake.
