    Good value in the Old Quarter

    Stayed here with a small group tour. Was concerned about street noise as there was an impromptu musical performance going on the street. Fortunately it ended at 10 PM and the area was quiet after that and no noise reached the upper floors. The location is really good in the center of the old quarter. Convenient to the Lake and to food options. Lots of good photo opportunities. Breakfast was nice. There are a lot of tour groups that stay here but the hotel staff deals with all. Rooms ending in "02" have a good floor plan.

    Rex Hotel Hanoi was a very nice Hotel in a fantastic Location right in the old quarter and overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake restaurant and roof top bar where you’d have a lovely breeze were nice and all members of Staff were so friendly and always smiling

    A Island of peace in Chaos

    The Chaos of Hanoi, comes to an end, when you walk through the door! Not huge rooms, however very comfortable. Nice breakfast, with eggs to order. Sky bar is a great way to cool off, with an evening breeze. Ms. Hannie, at the front desk is so very kind with her time and attention to detail. She was a HUGE help in sorting out an activity, that we had trouble with. She made phone calls, and assisted with emails, to get it sorted out. Note, they do exchange funds, should you require it.     Great location. Friendly staff mostly. Very disappointed with the room, old and sad, with no window so a bit claustrophobic. We had upgraded to one with a window months before but none were available when we arrived and the man at reception told me it hadn't been requested without even looking at anything. Didn't get a refund.Food was good, could use a more in depth clean.
