    Mold and very poor ventilation

    The hotel consists of several old buildings that have been joined together.I first stayed in a room on the top floor of one of the buildings. I have a mold allergy and I was unable to sleep I the room; Issues breathing and more.I wad then moved to another building where the mold issue was less severe. I still found the air to be thick and stale could not sleep well the first night I then figured out that if you kept the lights on in the bathroom then the bathroom ventilation kept running and it would suck in enough air in to the room if you also kept the window open. (A tip for anyone in need)Anyway the staff was helpful and tried their best. It was clear they knew about the mold issues. And the even had a dehumidifier on the top floor(red flag, to little to late).No someone higher up needs to initiate a proper renovation of the buildings. At least fix the ventilation. Unacceptable.The joining of several buildings is a cool concept, but it has to be done right. Looking at the top floor where I lived first, the roof even leaned the wrong way so water pools on top of the middle of roof.A plus was the breakfast, it was great.

    Alagon City Hotel & Spa – 5⭐We were really impressed from the moment we arrived. The welcome drink set a friendly tone, and the staff helped with luggage and a quick check‑in. They even gave us free drink and food vouchers for the whole family, plus a complimentary massage voucher (not part of our booking) – a lovely surprise!The family room was spotless, with plenty of tea‑coffee options, a great buffet breakfast, and a well‑stocked bathroom (bathtub, toiletries, towels for all four of us). The location is perfect for exploring the city.Highly recommend for a comfortable, value‑packed stay!

    Absolutely beautiful. This hotel is in a great location five minutes walk to the famous market. The rooms and the whole hotel are spotless. The breakfast is fabulous and the Omelettes are absolutely perfectly cooked .The pool is clean and crystal clear . But what makes this hotel that bit more special is the staff . After checking out of the Dazi because it was filthy dirt so we booked a room here at the Alagon. The booking did not go through so when we arrived at the hotel there was no booking made by this time it was around 4pm and I was panicking about finding a decent place to stay .Well all I can say is Thank you so very very much to the member of staff on reception she was absolutely fantastic and went way above and beyond to help us . Sorry I did not get your name but want you to know we really appreciated your support and hospitality.The hotel is awesome spotlessly clean in every area . You won’t be sorry booking in here. We stay for four days and everything and everyone was amazing and professional. Including the hygiene staff whom clean the rooms, the lobby boys whom help with your luggage etc, the breakfast staff whom are polite and respectful. And last but never least this awesome member of staff on reception may we thank you from the bottom of our hearts .

    Cant wait to leave this hotel.Wrong food was charged and waiter refused to change it even though he apologized for his mistake. No warm water and overall a 2 star hotel masked as 4.Not recommended
