    Disappointed stay

    rating15 Sept 2025

We booked this hotel for four nights after reading many positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. We booked a Mountain View room as no Ocean View rooms were available, but were very disappointed to find that the view was not of mountains at all — it overlooked what appeared to be a dump site. The entrance to the hotel was also unappealing, as we were greeted by piles of rubbish, including garbage dumped by the neighbouring hotel. While the rooms themselves were comfortable enough, the hallways outside the elevators had a noticeable musty smell. There was also significant noise during our stay, as the hotel was carrying out renovations. We were woken at 7am on a Sunday morning by loud drilling, which was very disruptive. It would have been helpful if the hotel had advised us of the renovations at the time of booking. The beach was also disappointing, with a lot of rubbish both on the sand and along the shoreline, making it unpleasant to sit or walk there. The highlights of our stay were the lovely pool area and the breakfast . The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, although we found the reception staff less so.Overall, this was not the relaxing beach holiday we had hoped for. For the price, there are likely better options in the area.

    Comfortable stay, excellent location

    rating06 Jun 2025

The hotel is right on the beach and offers stunning views of the ocean and sunset from the rooms. The beach area is very, very small as the water hits the hotel boundary wall during high-tide, and you get barely 5-10 feet of sand during low-tide. But you can still sit on the chairs/loungers and enjoy the views. The rooms are quite spacious. Just one point though, they felt slightly underlit. The restaurant serves a very elaborate breakfast spread, and good food options even for lunch/dinner.The staff is quite friendly and courteous. The drive from Wonder World is about 40min. There are several restaurants, shops and stores about 5-10min walk from the hotel.

4 STAR GROUNDS AND SURROUNDS - ROOMS 2.5 TO 3 STAR

    rating16 Apr 2025

The outside facilities are 4 star, no question about that. The breakfast is fantastic with every type of foods available. The pool area is amazing and it looks out onto the sea. The staff are extra friendly and so helpful. The rooms are in reality 2.5 to 3 star. The rooms are spacious but dated. They provide all the necessary accessories to make your stay comfortable. There is a balcony for one to enjoy the view be it sea view or mountains view. Night one, the room above us decided to move furniture around at 10.30pm and made a hell of a racket for over half an hour. Night 2 - if you don’t close the door of your room an alarm goes off. Well we were all awakened at 4.15am with the alarm going off. The alarm went for around 45 minutes. I opened our door to see what was going on and there were many people doing the same. Night 3 - more movement above us and one can even hear footsteps as well as moving a chair. Night 4 - slept very well for the first time! The shower is brilliant, that is if you can get any hot water. We only had one time where there was hot water. Cleanliness could be better.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

    rating18 Feb 2025

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Where do I even start, there is literally nothing good to say about this hotel. For starters it was dirty, loud and staff was pretty rude and not at all helpful. My room smelled like old salami, I asked the reception to sort it out, which they didn’t. The beach was as not very nice, tiny and sun chairs packed next to each other and people chain smoking next to you. The pool area I guess was okey, only you could never get a chair there unless you didn’t go up at 06.00 to reserve one. The pool area and beach bar was also playing super loud music, often Russian, which made it very unpleasant to be there, anything but relaxing. The room was dirty and full of dust. The Mountain View that I had booked, really was a view over a dumpsterIt was so loud, rooms not at all soundproof, so bring earplugs if you like sleeping Gym was okey though, and breakfast was good, minus the coffe that was never hot, just very lukewarm Location fine for exploring the island If I could give this hotel a negative 10 star I would- horrible experience
