    The overall experience for a 4-star (star rating to the sign on the Hotel) Hotel was poor to average,to average.

    Location was great, reception staff not friendly or welcoming but helpful in locations of famous landmarks. Hotel was clean and tidy, rooms clean and tidy and comfortable just outdated furniture no fly screens on the windows which can open to let fresh air in. TV channels 3/4 of them not available. Room cleaning service was good.The pool area is good, just the staff at the restaurant was not very friendly we asked for a menu, and he got one for us and threw it on the table we were sitting at, so my wife said let's go and we did. The Buffet breakfast was not to a 4-star standard Hotel, the staff were disorganized just in a group talking and not being observance to the guests needs. The Cheff cooking the egg omelets actually swore at a hotel guest (Lucky it was in Vietnamese and the guest didn't understand but my wife sitting the table opposite heard it and was shocked) told me, also that morning a guest asked for more white bread and the Cheff said no more and we still had another 1/2 hour before breakfast finished.Atmosphere is O.K but the interior furniture is all outdated.Noise level is O.KWe noticed on some reviews what other hotel Guests wrote are mis leading.

    I stayed in room 509 which was a very nice large room with a big bed which was comfortable as well as the pillows. The location is fabulous. They have a very nice breakfast and the staff are wonderful. This was the only refrigerator in Vietnam that actually got my drinks very cold, the ceiling lighting is horrible but it had good Wi-Fi and the room was quiet. I also enjoyed the large shower. There is a rooftop pool that is enclosed with a helicopter in it. This pool area is very small with only six chairs and a bit rundown with broken plexiglass.Do not use the spa at this hotel. It was the worst hotel spa throughout my 25 days touring Vietnam and the most expensive. The staff is not trained, they do not speak English and the rooms are dark and dingy looking. Four people from my Tour group went here and had four different treatments, and we all agreed that this was horrible.

    I really hate writing negative reviews but this hotel is one that should come with a warning. The rooms were shabby. The bathroom door didn’t close. Not an issue for a solo traveller unless there are gut issues. But this shouldn’t happen in a so called 4 star hotel. The air con was intermittent. Under no circumstances use the Spa. It seems to be run separately and though the staff were lovely and tried hard, there was no one to explain to them what had been bookedThe bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were clean.

    Black mold

    I was traveling with a Travel outfitter who stays at this hotel frequently. I was there four nights. On the first day, I noticed serious black mold on the ceiling and walls in the corridor on the fourth floor. I brought this to the attention with photos to our tour leader who immediately notified the hotel. They dispatched a crew to paint over the mold and open the doors and windows in the corridor...as though letting in more moist air would solve the problem. Two days later I could see the mold beginning to seep through the freshly painted ceiling. I again brought this to the attention of the tour leader. This condition would not pass safety inspections in the US.

    Spent 10 days here in Dec 2025. my experience was it was faultless. The location was perfect, everything to see was within walkable distance.Hotel was what you would expect from a 4 star. Lovely hotel.
