Nice place, but does worth the price

Well located, you can enjoy the swimming pool with view on the sea. The bedroom is quite clean, except the sheets with some stains on them.No customer service at all, need to ask for sunbeds, need to ask for a towel, etc. Also, cleaning ladies start cleaning in front of your door at 8am so forget long morning sleeps. And wifi was very bad everywhere in the hotel.

We stayed here just last week. Booked for 4 nights based on the booking.com reviews The pictures posted here are just what it’s like. We got a big clean room with one large bed and a single (perfect for your family) and at only $30 AUD a night I couldn’t complain. It had a clean large bathroom. Just outside our door was the swimming pool and 5 steps away the beach. It was down a little from what seemed to be the larger more crowded beach areas but suited us fine. It was very quiet and at times we felt like we were there alone. The breaky was very basic but yummy coffee and again for 3$ (for the three of us there’s not much to complain about) There are restaurants all around short walks away. Lovely stay. Ps MuNei was super windy

    Don't Bother!

We booked this hotel yesterday for 3 nights. We viewed and chose a room and agreed on a price. We left our previous hotel in Mui Ne this morning, and arrived at the Sunrise Resort. We were met by the owner, who promptly informed us the room was unavailable due to renovation. This was not the case yesterday. Most of the other rooms appeared to be vacant, however, the owner refused to offer a replacement room unless we paid another VMD290000 per night. We are experienced Asian travellers, mature age, fit Australians. Due to this rudeness and bad management behaviour, we were left to carry our luggage further along the road to find appropriate accommodation. UNACCEPTABLE! BE AWARE.

    Good clean resort; no service

The good:- well kept small resort which is beach front; and the start of the good part of the beach- near restaurants and facilities- good sized poolThe bad:- two panels in the toilet door are open has not been replaced, and the owner claims it's the same in all standard rooms. So it's a bit awkward using the toilet with holes on the door.- does not have complimentary breakfast. They have a very short list in their restaurant and more expensive than what you get outside. So better just eat out.- no complimentary water, no hot water kettle or coffee/tea in room. (They placed 2 water bottles in our 6 day stay and charged for it during checkout!)- banging sounds early in the morning 730am. Some small room renovations going on.- it's family run but you don't get the hospitality and warmth like you do from other family run resorts. The owners just don't care about their guests.Others:- In relation to other reviews about the staff: they shy away from foreigners because they don't speak English. If you ask for something, and they are allowed to do it they will. If you smile, they smile back. They have been helpful during our stay. They are very young kids who have no training in the hospitality industry (except for cleaning the resort). For $45 for deluxe room and $30 for standard room, I think the management can offer a little more to their guests than just a room.

Good with ample room for improvement

    rating05 Apr 2016

The resort has a good location as there are many shops, restaurants and travel agencies near by. The setting is very nice and relaxing as all the rooms (bungallows) are basically spread around the swimming pool. The resort has direct acces to the sea but there is no beach directly in front of the resort (beach erosion). The beach is very near though. You can reach it by walking for 50m on the concrete embankment protecting the resort from the sea. The beach begins in front of Vietnam Kiteboard school. The swimming pool in the resort is reasonably big with lush vegetation and palm trees so that you can either be in the sun or in the shade. There are many wooden sun beds available, though during our stay only the ones in the shade were daily equiped with mattresses. Breakfast is OK but could be better (more amlpe choice, fresh fruit...). One thing that catches the eye immediately (and is described in other reviews) is the total lack of interest of all the staff. It shows almost immediately that the fairly young boys and girls that work in the resort have not recieved any training whatsoever and must earn miserable wages. They do a good job in keeping the place clean, but that's it. At he time of our visit (stayed for 5 nights) the resort was practicaly empty. The beauty of the settings and the relaxing atmosphere is what brings good reviews to this resort. If they improve staff attitude and start serving drinks to the pool they will get even better reviews. If you wish the lady working in the kitchen can arrange a motorbike for hire which we recommend as Mui Ne is stretched along the bay and the places to visit are quite far apart. We did't get any service from the travel agency in front of the resort as it seemed a bit pricey in comparison to others across the street.
