  Do not stay hereWe booked the best room available. The package included airport transfers, however they advised that they were unable to pick us up and that we should pay $30USD for a taxi? What a terrible start to a holiday. Not a great start, but their attitude from the beginning meant I would never stay there again. Would not recommend

  Disappointing Service and Hospitality

  **Disappointing Service at Shells Resort and Spa Phu Quoc – Not Worth the Price**I recently stayed here for 2 nights in an Ocean View Luxury Suite with two friends, and while the property itself is undeniably beautiful, the service was extremely disappointing.Let me start with the positives — the rooms are spacious, well-designed, and the overall resort has a great aesthetic. The location and views are exactly what you’d expect from a premium stay.However, the biggest letdown is the service, which is frankly unacceptable for a resort of this level.* We were 3 people in the room, yet were provided only **two tiny 200 ml water bottles** — which is unreasonable.* When we requested additional water, it wasn’t handled proactively.* At **10 PM**, we asked for ice and were told it was not available. For a resort, this is basic service — especially for guests on vacation.It felt like the staff either lacked training or simply didn’t care about guest experience. There was no sense of hospitality, urgency, or problem-solving.In short:* **Great property & rooms*** **Poor, unprofessional service**If you’re someone who values service as much as the stay itself, this place will likely disappoint you.I would not recommend staying here unless they significantly improve their service

  The Shells in Phu Quoc is not a very appealing hotel. It’s located far from the city, so getting around can be expensive due to taxi costs. While the rooms are spacious, the layout is inconvenient—the bathroom and toilet are separate, with no proper changing area.The property has plenty of trees and grassy spaces, but this also makes it feel a bit uncomfortable due to insects. Nights are not very peaceful either, with lizards being quite common.The staff, especially at reception, are not particularly friendly. The only highlights are the breakfast menu and the fish display at the entrance.
