    Vin Pearl is a disapointment.

    rating07 Jun 2026

food is appalling. This is my 3rd visit to Vietnam in 14 months and my first visit to Phu Quoc. Vin Pearl has a terrible food offering. If you are not prepared to eat a buffet each night then you have to eat at the Beachside restaurant which has a basic menu, inexperienced staff who are everywhere but with no idea. Night one, my husband had finished his meal before mine arrived, both were fish.second night food was awful worst crab pasta and seafood pizza ever tasted. The wait for a dirnk took ages, then after I went to the bar, they brought only one of the two drinks, a margarita which was warm. 5 requests for a glass of ice went unanswered. All the shops into the resort are empty. There is nothing around it, no shopping, no good restaurants, only night market type of food eateries. It is a souless resort. Avoid Vin Pearl there must be better elsewhere on Phu Quoc.Help me I still have 6 nights left. Not worth the money.

    rating06 Jun 2026

We stayed in the villa for 2 nights from 6-8 June. Very poorly maintained villa with dirty carpet. Also the villa had lizards which kept coming after removing. There is no point taking villa as there are no utensils and you have to ask them for it. All services were very delayed. We kept asking for towels. The villa pool also seemed poorly maintained that we didn’t even use. Also they bluntly denied to put extra bed in villa for which we had already paid. Truong Quoc Viet, Tổng giám đốc at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us from 6 to 8 June.We sincerely regret to learn that your villa experience did not meet your expectations. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused by the cleanliness condition, delays in service, and the repeated requests for towels. Your comments have been shared with our Housekeeping and Engineering teams for immediate review and improvement. We are also sorry to hear that the condition of the private pool discouraged you from enjoying this facility. Maintaining our villas and their surroundings to the highest standards remains a priority, and your observations will help us focus our efforts where they are needed most.Regarding the presence of small lizards, as our resort is located within a tropical environment surrounded by nature, occasional encounters with local wildlife may occur despite regular pest control measures. Nevertheless, we understand the discomfort this may have caused and will continue enhancing our preventive efforts. We also regret any misunderstanding regarding the extra bed arrangement. We appreciate your comments and will review the communication and service process with our team to ensure a smoother experience for our guests.Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a much more enjoyable and seamless stay.Warm regards,Truong Quoc VietGeneral Manager

Good family resort, but definitely not quite 5-star

    rating29 May 2026

We recently spent a week at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc and overall had a lovely holiday. There are some great aspects to the resort, particularly for families, but there are also areas that need improvement and, in our opinion, explain why it doesn’t quite feel like a true 5-star property. The highlights were definitely the pool, beach and family facilities. The pool is enormous, well-maintained and has great children’s features including slides and pool toys, which our kids loved. The beach area is beautiful, tropical with plenty of shade. The kids’ club was excellent and the playground area was another big hit with our children. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, which was greatly appreciated given the humidity. Breakfast was also good, with a wide selection of options and an excellent egg station. However, there were no decaf tea or coffee options available, which was surprising for a resort of this standard. Our room was one of the weaker aspects of the stay. It felt quite small, especially with a large wooden baby cot taking up a significant amount of space. Shower pressure was poor throughout the week. Housekeeping was disappointing and not up to the standard we would expect. Beds were often made carelessly, and we don’t believe the bedding was changed at all during our stay.Food options became quite limited after breakfast. We were informed on arrival that buffet lunch and dinner would be available in the main restaurant, but the restaurant subsequently closed and these options never materialised. The beach bar offered very little beyond fries during the day, while the Beach Bistro was perfectly acceptable but not somewhere we’d want to eat every evening for a week.Communication was another challenge. The staff were always friendly and willing to help, but English proficiency was often limited, leading to frequent misunderstandings. We found a translation app extremely useful throughout our stay.Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our holiday and the resort has some fantastic features, particularly for families with young children. With improvements to housekeeping, dining options and staff communication, it could be an excellent resort. As it stands, it’s a pleasant place to stay, but not quite at the level we would expect from a 5-star property. Truong Quoc Viet, Tổng giám đốc at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your recent stay with us.We are delighted to learn that you and your family enjoyed many aspects of the resort, particularly our swimming pool, beach, Kids Club, playground facilities, and breakfast selection. It is wonderful to know that these amenities contributed to a memorable family holiday. At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the shortcomings you experienced during your stay. We regret that the room comfort, housekeeping service, dining options, and communication challenges did not fully meet your expectations. Your comments regarding the room setup, shower pressure, housekeeping standards, restaurant offerings, and language barriers have been shared with the relevant teams for review and improvement. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the availability of decaffeinated beverages and the dining experience throughout the day. Guest feedback such as yours is invaluable in helping us identify opportunities to enhance our services and facilities. While we are pleased that you overall enjoyed your holiday and recognized the family-friendly features of the resort, we understand that there is still room for improvement in delivering the level of experience expected from a five-star resort. Please be assured that we remain committed to continuously improving our services for all guests.Thank you once again for your constructive feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your family back in the future and provide an even more enjoyable stay.Warm regards,Nguyen Trong ThangDuty Manager
