This was our second trip to Alila, having visited also last year. There is always some apprehension when a holiday, hotel and experience in general is so good that one will not be able to replicate or improve on past experiences but, I have to say this hotel and its staff have exceeded all our expectations yet again.
The hotel is beautiful, both inside and out. The decor is minimalistic and classy. Rooms are a generous size (we had a family room with sliding doors) and whilst the hotel is clearly full, one never really feels it (apart from at breakfast). There is plenty of places to get a drink or relax.
It is hard to be succinct here but for us, what makes this hotel extra special is its staff. As a previous review explains, we were also on a group WhatsApp chat with the nutritionist/food advisor, Panayiota and all the sous chefs. Each morning, I would receive a text to ask what my son would like to eat that day. Special meals were prepared for him and each one was delicious. Evi, the maître d'hôtel is an absolute rock star, who seems to be everywhere at once, making sure staff are supported and customers are satisfied. The food in general is extremely good, clearly Alila has taken the time to invest in experienced chefs.
So, to summarise, this is a hotel with customer service at its core, well done Alila, yet again. Incredible place, incredible attention to detail and most of all, incredible people. Thank you for another amazing holiday.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Service amongst the best we have experienced. Rooms immaculate. Staff are well trained and very friendly. Super relaxed atmosphere and the most wonderful views of the ocean. We received an upgraded Full Sea View Room at no extra cost on our arrival. We celebrated our wedding anniversary

We celebrated our wedding anniversary during our stay and received a cake and some prosecco delivered to our room!
We ate at all of the restaurants during our stay and the food is absolutely outstanding! The creperie is such an amazing touch and again, delicious as was the American food truck and pizza on the beach.
Sunbeds were plentiful and always able to get beds for me and my family after breakfast.
The hotel have an amazing system in place for guests that have allergies, my daughter has a peanut allergy, we were added to a WhatsApp group by the lovely Panagiota and the chefs/head of catering team for each restaurant also added to the group chat, we were able to pre order food for my daughter and ensure it was made away from peanut ingredients and they ensured to cater for my daughters needs so that she was able to enjoy the food and her holiday as much as we could, this was really helpful to us as the food displayed is never labeled to show allergens.
The beach bar drinks service to your sunbed is such a lovely touch, the staff at the beach bar work so hard and remain super friendly, shoutout to the lovely Calypso for keeping me topped up with ice cold water, iced lattes and cocktails whilst I sunbathed!
Live music at the beach bar was amazing as was all of the entertainment we saw on the terrace of an evening.
Our room was cleaned daily and mini fridge also topped up daily, the housekeeping staff were very friendly and again work so hard. We appreciated a nice clean room daily after being out all day.
If you have a late flight home and the hotel are booked up and unable to offer a late chargeable check out, they have a room that you can book to shower in before you leave so you can make the most of your last day by the pool!
We will definitely return to this amazing hotel we've had a lovely holiday!

Awesome hotel & really good food.

Holiday in June with the family. Excellent hotel.
First we had a family room placed on a windswept side and the old window frames made chilling howls all though the night.
After two nights we were relocated to the opposite side. Same type of room but nice and quiet.

The familyrooms are maybe more 4* than 5, but the rest of the hotel is definitely 5*.
Nice and clean everywhere.
There is superstars among the staff!
Really enjoyed the service by reception, the Beach grill, and crepperi.

Soft mattesses and barservice at sunbeds by the beach
Negatives:
Kids have limited pool access (kids pool is no good above age 6+). Activity pool with sweetwater was missed.

Hotel doesn’t care about rulebreaking husets!

All in all, a very nice hotel.
BUT… There is an adult pool which obiviously is only for adults. Other guests doesn’t respect that and brings their noisy and water splashing kids up there. The bar personal tried to tell them several times but they didn’t listen. Therefore we (as guests)

The bar personal tried to tell them several times but they didn’t listen. Therefore we (as guests) tried to tell them, but we were told that we could pay them 100 euro and then they would respect it (!?) - we obiviously said no to that and then we were told to “go suck his dick”. We went to the manager of the hotel to talk with him about what happened but he just said “we don’t want to fight with guests” !? We told him that all guests obiviously have to follow the rules of the hotel. We even suggested they could “threaten” them with cutting their wristband if they didn’t want to follow the hotels rules but the manager didn’t like that idea.
We were VERY disappointed with how the hotels personal didn’t want to withhold their own rules and that we as guests were being verbally assulted like that with no consequences. How didn’t they have a procedure for when guests don’t follow the times!?
Maybe they didn’t want to do anything about it because they were scared of losing the income from the rulebreaking guests - but I can tell you that they definetly will be losing the income from us! We will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone else!
