Full Board Holidays to Maldives

Resorts with well-run full board dining are the easiest way to keep meals simple across a Maldives stay.

• Ari Atoll resort islands: Ari Atoll sits within easy reach of the capital by speedboat or seaplane, and many of its resort islands offer multiple restaurants within the property. Full board here usually covers breakfast, lunch and dinner across several venues, giving you variety without leaving the island. The trade-off is that the most popular properties fill quickly, so booking early secures the dining options you want. We recommend Ari Atoll for guests who want convenient transfers and a wide choice of resort dining. It is exactly the brief our Maldives holidays deals are built around.
• Baa Atoll resort islands: Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with a number of resort islands, and many offer full board arrangements with a strong focus on seafood and local flavours. Resort restaurants here often rotate their menus through the week, which keeps mealtimes interesting over a longer stay. The atoll is more remote than some options, so transfer times are longer and should be factored in around meal timings. We suggest this atoll for travellers who value marine life and want full board that feels considered rather than repetitive.
• Malé and Hulhumalé stays: Hulhumalé is a reclaimed island connected to Malé by causeway, and its hotel stock gives you the option of a shorter transfer and a wider range of eating out. Full board in this area can be combined with local restaurants for days when you want a change from the hotel buffet. Beach time is more limited than on private resort islands, so this suits travellers who want a city base first. We think this district works well for guests who want easy access to both dining and the capital. It is exactly the brief our Cheap Maldives Holidays deals are built around.
• Huvadhoo Atoll resorts: Huvadhoo Atoll is among the largest atolls in the Maldives, and its resorts are quieter, with fewer dining venues than the busiest areas. Full board is usually the practical choice here, since eating out is less varied and transfers by domestic flight and boat take longer. The advantage is seclusion and a slower pace, with meals that become part of a relaxed daily routine. We recommend this atoll for guests who prioritise calm and are happy to keep dining within the resort. It is exactly the brief our Maldives Adults Only Holidays deals are built around.
• Addu Atoll stays: Addu Atoll is the southernmost atoll, with causeway-linked islands and a larger local population than many others, so eating out beyond the resort is more practical here. Full board can be paired with local dining for a fuller sense of Maldivian food, including traditional dishes served in cafés. Resort dining in this atoll is more modest than on the large private resort islands, so checking the board basis carefully matters. We suggest this southern atoll for travellers who want history and a more local feel alongside their meal plan. It is exactly the brief our Maldives Last Minute Holidays deals are built around.
