I actually liked it. . Punched up.. my only complaint is I didn't get my booked king suite..I got 2 queen and, a portable heater that pulsed on and off constantly..parking directly across street is a huge bonus, and great eating selection 2 blocks over

    Good for 2 nights

    rating11 Sept 2024

The hotel is basic, somewhat old fashioned, but it's in a good location. There is no lobby, just a check in counter. One elevator, 4 floors. You can park in front of the hotel for 15 min just to check in and unload luggage. The actual parking is across the street. It is an underground public parking, and the rate is $18 for 24 hours (not like hotel website says $15). There are some other hourly rates (like $12 for 10 hours etc), so you can manipulate and pay less, but we just left the car there and walked to everywhere. The pedestrian entrance back to the garage is hard to find and remember to take the parking ticket with you as it's needed for entry back. The room was basic but the bed was comfortable. There was no temperature regulation in the room, just two floor fans, and a window which could be open. The TV was small mounted on the wall. There was a fridge, but no coffee maker or microwave. No racks for suitcases and minimal space for clothing.Breakfast was basic, but sufficient: cereal, yogurt, cheese, jams, bagels, muffins. Coffee was dispensed from the Keurig automated machine, producing few different varieties. Coffee machine and juice dispensing machine were available all day.Overall the hotel did its job for our two nights stay in Montreal.

    In The Heart Of Downtown

    rating06 Oct 2023

This hotel is right in the heart of downtown Montreal. The location can not be beat with so many attractions that are easily walkable. The staff were extremally friendly and helpful. They stored my bags for me as my train out of the city was not until hrs after my check out. It was great to be able to soak in a few more hrs without having to drag my luggage around. This hotel is a clean, cozy and a basic stay. None of the frills of other more expensive hotels were missed by me as I was very satisfied with the continental breakfast and 24 hr beverage area.I am looking forward to my next stay at this location!

    Cheerful and cheap

    rating17 Sept 2023

We just wanted a basic, clean hotel, no frills but comfortable to crash at night. The night staff are very helpful and pleasant. The day staff are stiffly pleasant. We appreciated the 24/7 coffee, water and orange juice. If you only need a hotel to spend time sleeping and spend the rest of your time out and about and sightseeing, I would recommend this place.

Good value, without bells and whistles.

    rating03 Sept 2023

I booked this accommodation at the last minute, when we found the original hotel we had booked unfit for human habitation. The receptionist here (Ioana) was amazing and speaks excellent English (as well as French and Spanish), and could not have been more helpful. This is an affordable hotel in the Latin Quarter of Montreal, that is not flash but is clean and comfortable. We were in a room that faces the street on the 3rd floor, and did not have any problem with street noise for the 3 nights stay. The view is noting special overlooking a carparking building covered in shade cloth, but the location is close to Saint Denis street with every type of restraint you could want, and the Metro is about 7 minutes walk, and from there all of Montreal is accessible. Our room was a queen bed, 40 inch TV, small fridge and A/C fan, a writing desk and a basic bathroom. Continental breakfast is included at the ground floor kitchen, and we were given a welcome bag with bottled water and sweets on arrival. We met several of the other guests at breakfast, and everybody was very friendly and happy to chat about their experiences in Montreal and Canada in general. Overall, this hotel is good value, and I will stay here again if I'm in Montreal. A tip for non-French speaking visitors like me, is get the hotel reception to order your taxi for the airport, as they know which companies to use (and not use) and doing it yourself can be difficult and some French speaking people we found are not very tolerant of us English (Australian) only tourists.
