Location

This hotel occupies an elegant and upmarket location. The surroundings offer guests peace, finesse and a certain standard living, whilst simultaneously enabling them to feel at home and away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. The designer hotel is located in the entertainment and shopping district. The centre of Toronto with its many shopping venues, bars, restaurants and nightclubs is to be found in the immediate vicinity. A skiing area is only a hour’s drive away. Links to the public transport network, the closest bus station and the next underground station are to be found just a matter of metres from the hotel.

Facility

95 non-smoking rooms are located on 17 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available. Complimentary newspapers are available. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a DVD player and WiFi are provided as well. A turndown service offers guests additional comfort. Slippers are included. The bathrooms have a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

    Cleanliness and maintenance and communication need vast improvement

    Location wise it was a great place. But for a hotel in core downtown Toronto, the service was below average at it best. The cleanliness is very questionable with old moldy soap from previous clients was never removed, the floor was dusty and I had to ask for someone to come and change towels after 3 days. Ignorance was visible in every corner. Bathroom and bedroom door locks were not working and it seems no one chose to address that. We only got to know that we got free spa service when checking out which shows questionable communication. Overall there is much area of improvement there- especially with cleanliness and maintenance.
