Niceville is a small town nestled on the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay in an area that is also the home of the Eglin Air Force Base. Local attractions include the white-sand beaches of Fort Walton Beach or Destin (16 km away), the Air Force Armament Museum, which houses the SR-71 Blackbird supersonic spy plane and other military aircraft, and the Emerald Coast Science Center in nearby Fort Walton Beach, which also offers a vibrant nightlife for the grown-ups. The emerald-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico offer world-class deep-sea fishing expeditions, water skiing, jet skiing, diving or any water sport visitors like - all within minutes of the hotel. Plus, the nearby beaches are some of the safest in the world, with no undertow and extremely shallow waters. Destin Commons shopping centre and Rave Motion Pictures are both around 14 km from the hotel, and Henderson Beach State Park is approximately 16 km away.
