    Great Location

    rating12 Apr 2026

Great Location. Stayed midweek with my son and had a lovely stay. Staff were very friendly and professional, can’t be faulted. Room was compact but had what was needed. 3 night midweek stay and breakfast was plentiful, tasty and orderly, not the usual buffet carnage. Heated plates would have earned this review a 5 star as it went cold very quickly. Take away coffee was an added bonus. One annoyance was fixed shower head, great shower pressure but not being able to remove meant hair was each time it was used, and the hair dryer was like a summer breeze. Would definitely book again.Look out for CN Dumpling in Montague St, great food, price and service. Tesco is in the next st too… just fyi. Taxi from Connolly was e15

    Amazing hotel and staff 2026

    rating03 Apr 2026

Lovely central hotel in Dublin. 20 min walk to town. Tram access, 1 min walk and busses aswell. Could do with 4 towels for two people , so you can have a spare to wash hair. Take your own hairdryer as the one in the room takes ages to dry your hair. Staff so helpful, left luggage room available before and after check in/out. Twin room 29th-31st Mar 2026

    Out dated, tired, noisey.

    rating20 Mar 2026

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall. While the reception area looks smart and welcoming, this doesn’t reflect the condition of the rooms at all.The rooms feel very old-fashioned and dated, with little attention to detail — even the pictures on the walls were noticeably crooked. Basic amenities were poorly thought out; for example, the kettle had to be plugged into a wall socket with a lead too short to reach any surface, meaning it had to be boiled on the carpeted floor, which felt unsafe. The bathroom was particularly underwhelming. It was extremely dated, with a tiny shower cubicle and a flimsy concertina door. To make matters worse, the window was completely covered in ivy outside, blocking out all natural light. Towels were thin and worn, and the toiletries provided were minimal and of very low quality.Practical issues added to the frustration. The power socket by the bed didn’t work, leaving only one usable socket across the room — inconvenient for charging a phone overnight. Noise was also a major problem; the walls are very thin, so conversations from neighbouring rooms are clearly audible, and nearby bars and nightclubs make it difficult to get a quiet night’s sleep.Access to the rooms is awkward too, requiring you to leave the main hotel building and enter through a separate external door, which feels disjointed and inconvenient.Overall, despite its decent location (around a 20-minute walk from Grafton Street), the hotel falls far short in terms of comfort, safety, and basic standards. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again

What a wonderful hotel for a short stay in Dublin

    rating06 Mar 2026

I loved everything, not only the strategic position (in front of bus station and very close to Grafton Street and all the tourist attractions), but I've really appreciated how they tried to satisfy all my requests and how friendly and willing to fulfill my needs they were with no extra charge. Loved the breakfast and the 1900 Restaurant. When I'm coming back to Dublin this is going to be my place. Paul Glynn, General Manager at Harcourt Hotel, responded to this review Thank you so much Danila, for expressing your joyful disposition.sometimes it is unusual for a satisfied guest to give a review. We would love to have you back to stay again. Please contact me personally if there is anything i can assist with. "Multi grazie"

    Not Recommended

    rating04 Mar 2026

Paid a €100 deposit which was never returned, and yes I did leave the room as I found it. Phoned 3 times but got no satisfaction just the usual rehearsed and vague lines that the payment was reversed, but I would like to know whose account did the money go into? certainly not mine The reception staff were terrible, hung up twice on me as I was speaking and refused to pass me onto the manager, who was apparently on holidays. Judging by the replies from the manager on this site, I wouldnt expect much by the way of accountability. No wonder the staff behave the way they do. Overall my experience with this hotel was distressing, so much for my relaxing night away. Paul Glynn, General Manager at Harcourt Hotel, responded to this review a Pre-authorisation on a credit card reversed is instant. Pre-authorisations on debit cards take long to clear (typically 5–7 business days, sometimes up to 30) because banks treat them as reserved funds to guarantee payment, and the hold persists until the merchant settles the transaction or the bank’s automatic timeout expires. These holds ensure funds are available for variable costs, often lingering even after the final charge is processed.
